Corel WordPerfect Office X8 Home & Student Edition for PC (Old Version)

    • I also prefer several other features in Corel Word Perfect that are not generally in other word processors particularly for resizing documents to fit in a set number of pages, Importing documents from other word processors, the way document merger works, etc.
    • So while I really want to support Corel's latest edition of WPO, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I think the optimal way to go (if you can't get the Academic version) is either to buy WordPerfect Office X7 Standard or Corel Wordperfect Office X7 Home & Student - Product Key Card
    • EditionWhile there are one or two nice improvements added, Corel has not added a remarkable improvement since they bought the rights to WordPerfect in 1996 Corel Wordperfect Suite 8 Professional
    • Plus, Corel has had no problems working in the MicroSoft files I developed in the last few years because Word was the program supplied at work..
    • The sole thing against Corel Word Perfect is the market dominance of Microsoft Word, which I personally consider for my needs an inferior product.
    • Corel's word perfect works so much easier than the other system I was paying for and it does not have to be re-purchased each year.
    • Sadly, Corel hasn't put much effort into polishing its few rough edges (spreadsheet graphics used to be great, not its useless), although the word processor wins hands down!
    • I found out from reliable computer people that x8 will work on w10 after windows defender is tweaked a bit but please don't rely on corel support staff to help cause they don't know diddle about this issue
    • It amazes me is that it's the cheaper, less capable product - Corel Office - that uses a MS Word ribbon interface that is far more modern and user-friendly (to the eyes) than WPOX8
    • Like Corel X7, Corel X8 is still easy to use & is as good as Microsoft Word
    • (Interestingly, Corel offers a stripped down version of this product - Corel Office 5 - 3 Installs (essentially, the Corel version of MS Works) - and I can't help but wonder if, at $30, Corel is hurting WPO sales by offering Office (though I suspect Corel hopes Office will be a stepping stone to WPO)).For me, the sweet spot (as it pertains to features is Corel WordPerfect Office X8 Standard
    • So if Corel believes WPO can survive because lawyers still like the pleading and authorities features, okay
    • Corel Word Perfect remains my preferred choice of word processor even though I have 4 others to chose from as well.
    • I'm so glad Corel offers the program at a price I can afford now that I am retired.
    • Beware of corel support staff find a reliable computer expert to help you out
    • For all the good E-mail exchanges with Corel's customer service regarding this issue managed to achieve I might as well have been conversing with a tree
