Corsair Dual SSD Mounting Bracket 3.5" CSSD-BRKT2

    • I upgraded my grandpa's PC recently (which I built around 6 years ago) and replaced his hard drive with an SSD
    • My only possible con is that with two solid state drives, it seems to be a little taller than a standard hard drive (one of my SSDs is older and extra
    • Perfect fit to add two SSDs in a hard drive slot.
    • Used it to mount my Crucial BX100 to my Corsair 400R hard drive tray
    • Worked well in that it holds my SDD hard drive in place inside the case.
    • This is a nice product if you care about securing your drive, but if you don't care about how it
    • Fits great with the Desktop / Laptop Hard Drive
    • No problems, just screw the drive to this, and this into the computer drive bay, done.
    • But this is true of almost any dual drive bracket like this one
    • This tray, without those side attachments, doesn't even touch the hard drive farm and will just fall to the bottom
    • This mounting bracket installs quite easily and can accommodate two (2) 2.5 inch laptop hard drives
    • I used the Corsair to install an SSD in my Dell Dimension E510 desktop, replacing an old Western Digital hard drive
    • fiddle but worked to get a solid state drive in my comp
    • Fit was just about perfect for the SSD and the hard drive slot
    • Fit my new hard drive perfectly
    • Well, the rails are made to fit into the two outer-most screw holes on a hard drive, and this mount does not have those, it only has the two that line up with the back of the drive.
    • The warmth and security it offered my most cherished drive is practically priceless
    • I purchased this as a bundle with the Samsung 850 Pro solid state drive, to replace my failed hard drive in my mid-2011 21.5" iMac
    • I managed to destroy a drive from the tension with a sata power connector going to the bottom drive, then the harness exiting and curving around and back to the top drive
    • Just the item that I needed to swap out my hard-drive for a pair of SSD's
    • Worked as expected to hold smaller solid state drive.
    • Adapted my solid state drive into the normal 3.5" hard drive slot in my computer case.
    • I used this mounting bracket to install a solid state drive in my desktop computer
    • Works great to secure a solid state drive to a hard drive bay in a desktop computer.
    • This works great with the Corsair Carbide 300R hard drive trays
    • A side benefit was these can be used either way- securing a laptop drive or a full size 3.5" drive.
    • Note that the dell has a caddy screwed to the hard drive to slide it in
    • Husband had no issues installing this into his computer and the mount worked great for the hard drive purchased.
    • Good product as it allows the drive to be "elevated" for good air circulation within the desktop
    • Finally, the hard drive, once mounted, doesn't even come close to mimicking the SATA/power port positioning on a traditional HDD.
    • " SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD7CS1311-240-RB and the drive installed fine as well right into my case.
    • " SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD7CS1311-240-RB and the drive installed fine as well right into my case.
    • Worked great with no problems fitting the drive of mounting in the machine.
    • Easy to install; make sure you install it so that the cables can reach the hard drive.
    • Up until now, I've always had to buy separate hard drive bays for my SSDs, but now I can fit two in one bracket
    • I've needed more space for more hard drives & ran out of kits, this allows for 2 ssds in one, freeing up space for additional drives
    • Exact size to upgrage solid state drives
    • It fit my computer perfectly allowing me to use a Solid State drive in my tower.
    • I wanted to replace the hard drive in my 2012 27" iMac with an SSD, but there are four drive mounting screws, and this bracket is only long enough for two of them.
    • I used this adapter to secure a 2.5 solid state drive into an old PC I was upgrading
    • This 'holder' doesn't fit in larger hard drive space, and neither the screw holes or the screw sizes match up
    • the problem is they did not include he eight screws which are shown in the picture..and trying to find four of those tiny screws which go into the hard drive was problemation
    • My small media center tower only had room for 1 3.5" hard drive, so I purchased this to places an SSD and 2.5" 2 tb drive
    • Both fit perfectly inside the Dell harness with the original hard drive bringing the total number of drives to 3
    • neede with the solid state hard drive
    • neede with the solid state hard drive
    • I utilized this to mount a laptop form factor SSD into a 3.5" hard drive slot.
    • It securely held the drive and slide right into a hard drive bay in my PC.
    • We have been using them regularly with Samsung EVO 2.5” solid state drives and the holes line up perfectly.
    • It's as long as a 3.5" hard drive.
    • With this adapter I was able to remove my entire hard drive cage from my case to increase airflow.
    • The final form factor doesn't have the holes where you need them to replace the Dell full-size hard drive.
    • Mounted the ssd with little hassle but after mounting this to my Mac pro hard drive bracket, the alignment between the contact points of the ssd and HD port was off by half an inch
    • I use a home-built "tech-station" that holds hard-drives as needed for ghosting/cloning operations without having them just laying across my desk
    • As seen in the linked document a standard hard drive has a distance between the mounting holes of 101.6mm (dimension A9 in the document).
    • Easy to mount two SSDs in the space formerly occupied by one conventional hard drive.
    • I've included a picture of a 3.5" hard drive sitting on top of a Corsair SSD mounting bracket to illustrate which holes line up.
    • I was hoping the guides would also support the drive.
    • Also, this does "fit" in a 3.5" bay, however, the screw holes are not the standard spacing for a 3.5" HDD, it will only line up with the first two holes on a 3.5" HDD, so if you are using a case that requires using the further holes on a hard drive (OEM HP is what I'm working with) then it won't fit snugly.
    • This has become a regular purchase for me as we have been refreshing desktops from plate drives to solid state drives.
    • If I decide to add another SSD or even a hard drive the bracket is ready for double-decking.
    • let me put two SSDS into a single 3.5" hard drive slot.
    • Should fit most any standard 2.5" drive and most any standard 3.5" hard drive bay.
    • High quality, looks nice, fits hard drives well.
    • Works great to secure a solid state drive to a hard drive bay in a desktop computer.
    • Didn't particularly help with mounting the SanDisk SSD plus 240GB solid state drive.
    • but... it wasn't compatible with the hard drive bay in my case
    • Adapted my solid state drive into the normal 3.5" hard drive slot in my computer case.
    • I purchased a couple these as "just in case" holders for some random hard-drives.
    • Needed a bracket for an sad boot drive that I have connected with 1 screw in my tower
    • and it's going to jar the hard drive loose from the hot swap connectors in the back
    • I managed to destroy a drive from the tension with a sata power connector going to the bottom drive, then the harness exiting and curving around and back to the top drive
    • I purchased this as a bundle with the Samsung 850 Pro solid state drive, to replace my failed hard drive in my mid-2011 21.5" iMac
    • Includes 3 sets of screws so it will work for any drive and will mount into any standard hard drive slot.
    • Will used them to hold new solid state drives
    • Worked well for placing a Samsung EVO SSD Drive into an older computer
    • Sleek and well built, gives you the perfect platform to mount a smaller hard drive to your 3.5" bay
    • Thus this product will not fit in a location designed for a standard hard drive.
    • Whoever invented this thing couldn't be bothered to investigate the design of hard drive enclosures in PC cases
    • Sturdy and lightweight tray for the SSD hard drives.
    • I only used the hard drive bay, so cannot speak how it handled for optical drive.
    • Shorter than a normal 3.5" hard drive
    • If you need to install an SSD where a Hard Drive was previously installed this is the kit you need.
    • This does not fit the normal 3.5in hard drive rails that go in a normal mid-tower case.
    • This does an excellent job holding a Samsung 860 Evo hard drive.
    • The drives go in securely, no wobbling, and no worries about movement.
    • Put a 250 gb 2.5" SSD and a 100 hard drive also a 2.5" .. in the space of a3.5" drive
    • I ended up using a Sabrent 2.5" SSD & SATA Hard Drive to
    • My only possible con is that with two solid state drives, it seems to be a little taller than a standard hard drive (one of my SSDs is older and extra
    • I would highly recommend this mounting bracket for anyone looking to put their SSDs in a computer with a classic 3.5" hard drive bay
    • Takes a little fanangling to get it right, and even then doesn't seem to fit my hard drive that great.
    • If the side that is tight had pins protruding into the drive bay, you could pop the drive into them and then lay the drive into the bay and just use 2 screws on the side that has room.
    • So once the Front screws were in I had to Flex the drive a little to get the back screws in, not good.
    • I had the Sabrent dual 2.5" mount before but it put the drives dead center in the bracket and the drives were very close together which made cabling a pain and reduced airflow
    • Used in 2007 model iMac to upgrade hard drive to SSD
    • The screw holes did not line up with my computer's hard drive bay, but I managed to get it in there snug with no screws.
    • Got an old computer from a friend, motherboard has 6 SATA ports but native hard drive
    • Holds the hard drive secure in the computer chassis.
    • I replace the hard drive in my PC with a SSD and bought this bracket to mount it in
    • Swapped the hard drive on an small form factor Optiplex 790 for a solid state drive and laptop drive, worked great
    • The screw holes for the bracket are the standard thread type that is normally used with a conventional 3.5" hard drive and they even provide all the screws you need (8 x 2.5" drive screws, 4 x 3.5" bracket screws) which the other bracket did not include
    • No matter in what position the SSD seats the hard drive cables won't reach.
    • Notice that the tray mounts the SSD to one side so the SATA connections line-up with ones on a 3.5" hard drive
    • fortunately I had screws from my old hard drive to mount the bracket to the computer mounting bracket or this would be in the trash.
    • The weight of the SSD causes this metal unit to flex, making it sag, and fall out of the space for hard drives to slide into in my computer.
    • Works great, would be nice if there was a little more space between the two hard drives as I noticed they get a bit hot.
    • If your cases uses only the outer most holes of a hard drive to secure the drive, or your case has drive trays that only have the outer most holes, THIS MOUNTING BRACKET WILL NOT WORK.
    • The top 2 holes fit into the screw-less design of most hard drive trays, while the bottom 2 holes are secured down with screws that go into the hard drive tray
    • This bracket is shorter than a standard hard drive tray, but there is a work around
    • Perfect for adding 2.5" form SSD to your desktop computer hard drive bay
    • One problem - in the end of my 3 hard drive
    • It didn't fit in my all-in-one Lenovo desktop because the PC has a connection fixed and this mount won't align connections exactly as they would be in 3.5" hard drive
    • Exactly what I needed and bolted right into my hard drive ports.
    • This was the worst experience of my hard drive swap
    • It's very easy, it only took me about 2 minutes to screw in my 2.5" SSD and slide the bracket into the hard drive tray
    • The following link is to a whitepaper describing the standard dimensions of a 3.5" form factor hard drive (http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/library/other/2579-771970.pdf).
    • These fit in the hard-drive holders, although sometimes a tight fit.
    • When connected to the top drive, the right-angle power connector blocked the power connector on the bottom drive.
    • I took one of my old hard drives out of the PC and was amazed how small the newer SSDrives are
    • Did what I needed it to do, mount a hard drive.
    • Need it for putting SSD in hard drive of my Alienware Aurora.
    • Well made, fits the hard drive slot in Dell Optiplex and Inspiron models
    • Currently have an SSD and a laptop hard drive in it.
    • Some other brands are centered and only work with connector cables for the standard PC case drive bays
    • The overall size matches a typical hard drive, but don't expect the pins to match the alignment of a hard drive
    • I mounted a Samsung SSD into the case, and found the screws that were provided bottomed out on the hard drive before they seated into the bracket.
    • I ordered this so I could upgrade my hard drive to a SSD in my Late 2008 iMac
    • If your cases uses only the outer most holes of a hard drive to secure the drive, or your case has drive trays that only have the outer most holes, THIS MOUNTING BRACKET WILL NOT WORK.
    • Excellent for expanding storage space with multiple hard drives
    • Also, these put the connectors in about the same location as a regular hard drive, so it fits more brackets (such as those blue plastic
    • Fits both his mini hard drives right in the same tray slot
    • The hard drive itself did mount well in the bracket itself.
    • Fit my drive perfect
    • Compared to most cheap 2.5 to 3.5 drive mounts that are just plane flimsy sheet metal, this is much better
    • Swapped the hard drive on an small form factor Optiplex 790 for a solid state drive and laptop drive, worked great
    • Swapped the hard drive on an small form factor Optiplex 790 for a solid state drive and laptop drive, worked great
    • Used it to make sure my SSD fit in the 5.25 hard drive bay.
    • Good drive mount if you want a minimal setup - lots of available air flow
    • that's the same size of hard drive
    • But this product will fit inside the tower where you traditionally do a permanent mount of a 2.5 inch SSD into the 3.5 inch hard drive bay.
    • The only thing that I have to say that could be construed as negative is that it hangs out a bit from the enclosure that a normal 3.5" hard drive sits in.
    • best price for an ssd hard drive mount anywhere
    • Takes a little fanangling to get it right, and even then doesn't seem to fit my hard drive that great.
    • I would highly recommend this mounting bracket for anyone looking to put their SSDs in a computer with a classic 3.5" hard drive bay
