Great kit, I paired it with my fans that came with the Node Pro.. Works great
Great kit, I paired it with my fans that came with the Node Pro.. Works great
These are pretty bright, maybe overshadowed by my Corsair LL series fans, but this is a good kit
In fact, if you bought the LL 3 fans set which comes with a light node pro, you just need to connect 3 Fans directly to the motherboard, and the RGB hub to the light-node Pro; and you still have a LED port empty for LED cable extension kit
I bought 3 LL fans, 3 HD fans, a Led extension kit and this PRO
You can connect a lot of LED lights, but fans are limited
I 100% recommend going with a different company for your LED lighting, it will be much cheaper and you can get the control you want.
This leaves you only one port for your LED lights from Corsair
Once installed, the two (2) strips attached to the strip directly attached to the Node Pro had fixed static "red" lighting and nothing I tried in the your Link software could not change the lighting.
However, if you want to use LED lights, you are going to have to get the Cosair Lighting Node Pro, which includes 4 strips of LED's and also a node that for me, serves no purpose
I had bought the Corsair CL-8930002 RGB LED Lighting Pro Expansion Kit to replace one of the LED strips that came with my Corsair RGB LED Lighting Mode Pro kit.
Note, I included a picture of the LED RGB strips along with the THREE Consair HD120 RGB LED Fans the control panel also controls.
That one came with 4 RGB LED strips and was fine for a start
, I wanted an RGB insanity case long before this craze came
if you like RGB and you have any other corsair gear, like their sexy HD120 fans or SP120s, its a no brainer.
120mm- high efficency notctua case fan 92mm- rgb led lightstrips- plexiglass view panel
It includes two additional USB 2.0 headers as well, which is handy for linking up extra on-board items like LED controllers if you don't have easy access to your headers or want a clean case look with minimal front connections
Lights are VERY bright, If you case is dirty it will be very apparent
I'm using only two fan channels currently (GPU and case) and only one thermal sensor, but I love that I can turn them both up according to the temperature of any sensor in the system or add a temperature sensor if I don't have what I want
Loved the case, but the CAM software and built in smart device was too glitchy
The other positive thing about this item is that it has two additional usb 2.0 ports, which worked perfectly for me because my motherboard only had one which is needed by my aio cooler, so I plugged the aio to the commander pro and the commander pro to the mobo
the only thing that works good in corsair link every thing else does not work gj corsair!
Aside from the Link and firmware hickups, its the best thing available for such a large number of fans
One thing many of you may struggle with is the software to get the lights working in the first place
the only thing that works good in corsair link every thing else does not work gj corsair!
I've already installed it into my system and it looks/works great
Bought for the node but the less work great also just corsair making another great product
I would give 5 stars, but when Corsair did a firmware update I lost control of the colors for my HD 120 fans, once they fix that I might change my review, otherwise works great with the Corsair link software, you can have different color combinations for different profiles in Corsair link software
I really don't know what happened, but it was the most difficult fix I have ever worked on
The product works well; sadly, the manual is lacking, and I had to learn this by trial & error
Anyways, I have 2 of these controlling all of my fans now and besides a little sporadic error, it all works OK
Sometimes I get a weird USB error and I wonder if it's this or the header attached to this (controller that comes with the HD120's), but it isn't anything that bothers me enough to check
Ok the problem was with this weird error in the USB devices in device manager - Link State Not Compatiable - and Windows would disable this device
IF memtest is good and you can benchmark and stress test GPU and CPU then check for that weird error in device manager and start removing stuff
AND if your computers starts to crash with lots of BSODs and crazy errors like IRQ errors, page file, kernal this and that, cant write to memory
