It works as it should and my mother's PC is working well once again.
This is a great brand works amazing and easy super fast setup!
It's not the latest and greatest when it comes to the push toward higher efficiency... this unit is not the cheapest 550 W power supply around
It's not modular and it doesn't have quite the electrical stability as the more expensive power supplies, but for about a third of the cost, this VS series does the job and it seems to be working quite well
I've gtx 660 on board because this power supply and works very well
So the Corsair I received was dead on arrival and must have shorted itself out
I stand behind my opinion on corsair products and their customer support.
The Corsair on it's dedicated 12v rail delivers 38 amps.
Corsair is very popular and a lot of people love their products
And Corsair has the audacity to even SUGGEST through their support ticket process that I pay for shipping to send THEIR mistake back to them for a replacement
Then it started making a buzzing rattling noise randomly
Had this unit for two weeks before the fan started making loud noise intermittently
The only time you really hear the noise is when it does a power cool down cycle
The computer issue I was having (graphics card/constant running fan) where the computer would just power off after grinding a loud fan noise for a while-was fixed with this upgrade
All wired have good length, nice quality, 0 noise, 100% recommended, hopefully my electricity receipt will down since my computers is almost On all day
I am using this PSU to power an i7-3770k, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650, and WD 1 TB hard drive.
I have two solid-state hard drives that will work fine, but as soon as I hook up my 2 TB internal hard drive it dies
Started having problems with 6 hard drives - power related.
I maxed-out the ram, added a 1 TB hard drive, higher-end video, and it handles everything that I throw at it.
I have read reviews stating not enough of the right connectors and I have to disagree, there are Sata power connectors for my 3 hard drives and 1 DVD writer (total of 5

this psu specifically shorted out after simply opening the game csgo in a singe gpu system w/ a i3 6100. managed to take out my 120gb ssd and 1 tb wd black hard drive also
I matched this with a FX6300 cpu, sapphire R9 380 video card, 970A-G43 msi mother board, a basic optical drive, 4gbs or ram, western digital 1tb hard-drive, and 3 case fans
