Had issues with the mic quality on the golds, but they do have slightly better sound quality, and much better bass.

The headset has decent highs, fair bass that I'd prefer to have a bit more

so I'm used to a responsive bass, a wide soundstage, and a bit of a boosted treble

Very warm rich bass and a nice microphone.

This is coming from a switch from a pair of Astro A40s I used for years, a 150$ headset comparatively, which wins in every category from sound, looks, and comfort (as it should.
