The tuning pegs hold a tune well (after a couple of weeks) and the fine tuners work well too.
Smaller violins don't always hold a tune so well, but his one is great
I had no problems whatsoever doing the initial tuning with the pegs, and I downloaded a free violin tuner app on my phone, which makes fine tuning a breeze
After perfectly fine tuning the instrument, it still sounded bad (harsh)
The fine tuners work great, so when the strings settle in a bit, tuning gets easier
The instrument is beautiful looking the the case is very nice as well.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the case was for the price of this instrument.
Made well, great case and easy for my 9 year old to use
The case is very nice, but when opened, it reveals a magnificent violin and bow; outstanding workmanship, not only on the instrument, but the inside of the case, as well
Well, my daughter's music teacher installed the bridge with no problem and at no charge and my daughter states she loves this violin more than the Yamaha brand we had rented
My daughter and her teacher are very happy with the violin
My daughter is extremely happy with this violin and her
birthday gift, I did pop the fat G string and had to run out and get a new one.
I give it 4 stars because the first violin arrived with a bad bow and a bad G string.
what I like is the violin has a great sound, even for it's small size
It does seem to really have an ebony fingerboard and ebony pegs, which is a step up from the sub-$100 violins, but the sound that this violin makes is quite dull and flat.
Reasonably priced and although not great sounding, it is good enough for beginners
With the Preludes, the violin has an very clear and almost bright sound
The sound is clear and crisp, and all parts have proven to be of good quality
Price: I prefer to own my instruments as opposed to rent them, provided I can find something in the price range of a rental or not too much more, figuring I can probably resell the instrument when it is no longer needed
It's a great instrument though, with good sound quality.
There is a decent quality bow, a nice case, and a decent instrument, all cheaper than renting for a year
don't go too cheap or the instrument is almost useless.
we don't know how long she'll be interested in violin, so we didn't want to spend a lot of money but we wanted a decent instrument.
It has a good quality bow for a student violin and it does come with rosin, which is OK in quality, but I did end up purchasing rosin on the advice of other reviewers because why not, I have $2 to spare
I give it 4 stars because the first violin arrived with a bad bow and a bad G string.
The bow also came in very mishandled with quite a few horse hairs undone
The case is very nice, but when opened, it reveals a magnificent violin and bow; outstanding workmanship, not only on the instrument, but the inside of the case, as well
The Bow and case are also very nice and it also comes with a block of resin for the bow.
