Cheap for a reason, these refills didn't last a week - writing wasn't smooth

All the Cross refills I have used provide a very smooth, even writing.
Nice smooth writing pen, used these to replace the standard ink that came with the pen.
I appreciate their smooth writing and the fact that the ink doesn't smudge up on the outside of the pen point.

Simple pen refills, but they are good quality, and work perfectly in the pens for which they're intended.
I can always depend on Cross pens to be of good quality.
These are very poor quality refills and should be avoided.
I've been using Cross pens for some 35 years now and the last couple of years all of the refills I've purchased have been of marginal quality
I always buy refills from the pen manufacturer as the quality of the refills are better than knock offs in my experience.

I purchased three sets of the fine point black ink and not a single one has leaked yet.
The fine point seems to write better than the medium one.
This is the most frustrating ball-point refill that I have ever dealt with.
I've purchased two sets of the fine point blue ink now and both sets leaked.
I like the Cross pens so much that I have modified a number of the refills to fit cheaper ball points with the little plastic refills after they go dry.
