I turned down the sensitivity of the receiver, as the sound seemed a bit bright

You do have to work with speaker placement and some receiver adjustments to get the best sound

It is pretty good sound for My Home theater set up along with Onkyo Receiver and Mythos Nine speaker

First, this is a simple no frills A/B Class toroidal amp, no bells & whistles, no on-board DSP, just that classic clean powerful Crown sound

Subs are growling as soon as I touch the volume .I recommend Crown all the way .

After some research I discovered that many people were using professional amplifiers to power more inefficient home speakers, and that Crown was highly regarded.

Spend the extra money and get a good product: Crown amps are the way to go.

This is a very good amp to have whenever you need good quality of music to hit your ears drums.

The Specs are accurate and the quality of sound and power are unmatched in this price range

The quality is super clear and crisp and with no distortion

Def recommend if you need a quality cheap amp class a/b amp without the dsp features of the more expensive models.

It's got so much power the fans are super quiet they always run so no over thermal heat

My neighbors love my music now lol If im playing music at full volume for about 5 minutes straight, the fans kick on high

As I noted above, I have turned the gain all the way up on the Crown for my application as this allows me to get up to the 200-300w range for peak signals.... which is going to allow me to really maximize what these speakers are capable of without having to really stress the pre-amp circuit in my receiver and cause clipping.

What were very good speakers before were now amazing: they compare favorably to my modified Klipsch Fortes on dynamic range and bass, and that is saying something indeed.

I'm changing my rating to 4 stars, would be 5 stars if not for the design flaw.

I have since resolved the hum issue and it is not the seller's problem, it is a basic design flaw in the Crown amp which could have been prevented with a 20 cent switch
