It fits the 1G & kinda fits the 2G Nanos - there is a felt and rubber layer inside that should do a great job of protecting while not causing other rub points (which some other hard cases do)

Two negatives for 2G Nano owners - the Hold Slide switch is obscured and hard to reach - plus folks with thick based headphone plugs (like my Shures) will have a tough time inserting the headphone plugs - just put them in first, then close the hatch - it's tight, but it seems to work OK.Initially, I'm very impressed and the price is really good too
