For tea to reach its full flavor, it should be steeped at just the right temperature. The Cuisinart perfect temp electric kettle has 6 preset temperatures for different varieties of tea. 1500-Watts provi...
Each two leaves tea company™ tea has recommended steep temperatures, but there are a few hard and fast rules you can follow to determine what steep temperature to use
Also, I must say, I have been drinking tea at the wrong temperatures ALL my life!!
We love that it is so fast and easy to use and makes water at the perfect temperature for that perfect cup of tea
Getting always the correct temperature enhances my tea rather than destroying it.
Easy to get water exactly the right temperature for each type of tea
It's very nice looking, and I used it all the time with no problems at all
the last think you want when you spend $100 on a kettle is to be back in the market 6 months later looking for another one... i wish i had kept my cheap looking kettle, it worked for over 10 years, and at least i would have hot water now
I've been looking at tea kettles for a while, I love how it's sleek and the water boils pretty fast as well
It's so nice looking and well-made, and the temperature adjustments are a great feature.
This is initially a very nice looking kettle with a wide range of options
The design is not practical and I seriously doubt was ever tested by a human being who actually used it for its intended purpose
If you fill up the kettle, the awful design of the handle means that you either burn your knuckles (see #1 above) trying to hold the handle to balance the kettle, or you hold the handle too far down to be comfortable, and possibly needing two hands.3
We bought it because we like the design and good review.
And the design is nice enough to leave it on my counter.
I reported this obvious design flaw and safety hazard to the manufacturer and they responded that they would replace it for about 1/2 what I paid for it.
Excellent electric pot, especially for its tea temperature settings
After about 9 months of use, the pot started to leak around the lower handle attachment
We went for a more expensive pot, thinking we would get a quality product that would last a long time.
It's a great replacement for a traditional teapot, sure, but it's also nice to speed up things like boiling a pot of water -- we cook noodles a lot, and now we put half the water in pan and half in this, and it's boiling in half the time.
I carefully clean the pot every time not soaking the water in
I air dry with lid open and clean wipe inside with a paper towel.
While it still works and functions properly the lid is so small that i cannot get my hands inside it to properly scrub it, the water regularly gets infected
The lid on the first one broke after about 6 months but was still usable.
The lid became rusted and ceased to function any longer in under two years
The lid was getting more and more difficult to open and now won't open at all.
Very happy!Update 09.01.2017: almost 7 years and counting!
The limited three year warranty is up so off to spend another $100
It is ridiculous to expect to keep replacing a water boiling gadget every other year, which cost as much as this does.
Lasted 1 and 1/2 years and the best it can do now is keep the water luke warm.
* Blue backlit water window; removable/washable scale filter; boil-dry protection with auto safety shutoff* Measures approximately 8-1/5 by 9-4/5 by 12 inches; 3-year limited warranty
I wouldn't recommend for carrying long distances because it is a bit heavy and awkward to hold once filled with water and heated but working on the counter right next to it works
It has very little water left and tries to keep boiling a tiny bit of water for no reasond
On the third or fourth year lid won't pop up when you press a button to open, you have to push it open which could be a bit tricky if your kettle is still hot from the previous use
I think that the boiling the water at different temperatures is a bit of a gimmick, we didn't like our tea not made with boiling water (what we are used to after 40 years I suppose)
A bit expensive for an electric kettle, but it's been great
The letters are still black, the screws are still shiny and the boiling times are still quick
Again, works perfectly except for the manufacturing defect of leaving a loose screw in it and the slight odor.
My issue is simple, I just found a loose screw bouncing around inside the kettle and after calling the customer service I was told that I have to pay $15 to have a new one sent to me and cut the cord of the original unit and send it back to Cuisinart (at my own expense)
I really want to like this kettle, but I just found a loose screw in it this morning
The screws under the lid started rusting after a few months of normal use
