Again, works perfectly except for the manufacturing defect of leaving a loose screw in it and the slight odor.

My issue is simple, I just found a loose screw bouncing around inside the kettle and after calling the customer service I was told that I have to pay $15 to have a new one sent to me and cut the cord of the original unit and send it back to Cuisinart (at my own expense)

An annoyance of mine was the screws near the lid had minor rust on them

I really want to like this kettle, but I just found a loose screw in it this morning

I read the one review re: the rusty screws.

The letters are still black, the screws are still shiny and the boiling times are still quick

The screws under the lid started rusting after a few months of normal use
