Cuisinart CPK-17AMZ Perfect Temp Cordless Programmable Kettle, Stainless Steel

    • After multiple email and telephone exchanges seeking to verify the serial number and assure that the product was not used commercially (it was not), I was informed that the the product was covered by a "Limited" warranty, meaning that I would have to pay to return the product to Cuisinart and pay $15 for shipping and handling for a replacement product.
    • Unfortunately just four months after it's 3 year warranty has expired the base of the kettle where the handle meets the bottom is now leaking each time water is heated (see pic)
    • The kitchen appliance warranty that you can purchase thru Amazon will start after the 1year manufacture warranty expires
    • I am disappointed that this product suddenly stopped working, apparently just as the warranty expired
    • Low quality product and useless warranty.
    • A+ Customer Service, Warranty Replacement 110% Satisfied
    • * Blue backlit water window; removable/washable scale filter; boil-dry protection with auto safety shutoff* Measures approximately 8-1/5 by 9-4/5 by 12 inches; 3-year limited warranty
    • Called Cuisinart to find out how strict their the limited warranty was.
    • Had useless warranty from amazon and after dealing with amazon customer support and getting a run around Cuisinart sent me a second one on exchange for the previous broken one.
    • The one-year warranty is USELESS
    • I checked with Cuisinart to see how to fix or replace it, and they were kind enough to let me know that the warranty is only good for 3 yrs.
    • This is common practice for other high-end products (and most Amazon returns), and I think it's inexcusable that Cuisinart takes an approach that seems DESIGNED TO AVOID having to honor their warranty
    • I cannot explain why, and it happens overnight (when it is cold) rather than when you boil in it.the warranty is useless, and i feel very disappointed
    • Useless warranty that is very expensive to ship defective produce and receive replacement unit."High brand" that is made cheaply in China.
    • I'd be very willing to pay good money for something that was backed be a customer-friendly 30 year warranty
    • Attempting to call, one is greeted with an extended explanation of where one might find the serial and model numbers on a variety of Cuisinart products, after which the caller is presented with four choices, none of which applied in my case, so chose number five, causing a repetition of the instructions on finding the serial and model numbers followed by the helpful information that customer service representatives were busy and that wait times "...currently exceed five minutes."Quite frankly, it seems like the runaround-- like Cuisinart is not genuinely dedicated to after-sales service of their products, despite their apparently generous warranties
    • This product is seriously defective and Amazon warranty is worthless.
    • The limited three year warranty is up so off to spend another $100
    • On about 9/22 of this year (yep, about a week after the limited warranty ran out), it stopped heating the water.
    • Limited warranty = 3 years
    • CUISINART'S "LIMITED WARRANTY
    • That's how a warranty and customer service are supposed to work!
    • Does not retain the heat as well as I would like perhaps, but is otherwise a great kettle.
