The setting as featured in display is hard to read; needs bright lights as it does not illuminate, but the programmable part works well

Simple design with great automatic features and the quality of Cuisinart is definitely very apparent with this coffeemaker

Not a smart feature, considering we are using this feature in low light conditions.

Programmable - Probably one of the most important features on this product

My favorite features are that it is programmable, 12 cups, and it stays on for 4 hours.

One feature which we like is that the "warming plate" is not that, so you don't have to shut off, or rely on auto shut-off of the coffee maker

It would be a nice feature (at least for me) to prevent the brew cycle if the carafe top is not in-place.

The design is pleasing and the features are easy to read

and I liked the features such as programmable timer and clean indicator as well as the charcoal filters to remove chlorine from the water

At about $60, this has really good features, including the permanent filter and the built-in water filter.

And, the worst feature we have noticed is that it frankly doesn't make very hot coffee.

The coffee it brews tastes fine and I like the programmable feature, that it allows you to pause and pour while it is still brewing, and that it keeps the coffee warm ALL DAY (not that one needs that) and it is nice looking

For all the semi-useful programming features included in this unit, "SHUT UP BEEPER" was not among the engineers' concerns.

The stainless steel carafe is a favorite feature because I know it is unbreakable.

This also seems to be an older model as it doesn't have the more modern touch features but knobs to set it up.

When you brew a pot, after the 5 beeps finish, it shuts itself off (a good feature).4

Also love the programmable features of setting the time for the coffee to brew, and how long the heat element will stay on so it will turn itself off after x hours if you forget.

Being able to pour a cup before it is done brewing is another good feature.

I really like the 1-4 cup setting, which takes more time but sprinkles higher temperature water over the grounds for richer taste; this feature is found on most higher end machines, but its presence on the DCC-1100 is a plus, given this model's more modest price range

I have about given up on Cuisinart coffee makers, as my old DCC150 would spill coffee on the counter because of a bad "brew pause" feature

We like the feature of the thermal carafe and since our old one has done a great job over the last few years we decided just to buy the same one again

Thermal carafe is the best feature, keeps its ten cup volume warm all day.

The features I like best are: 1) the 1-4 cup option which heats the pot more so as not to cool the small amount of coffee in the large pot, 2) the water filter, 3) the simple beep it makes when the coffee in brewed, 4) the option of using the metal or paper filters and, best of all, 4) the timer you can set to tun off the power to the heat plate at a specific time of your choice after the brewing is complete.

This coffee maker has several great features: Water level window on the side; 1-4 cup brewing capability; and an insulated carafe to keep your coffee warm for a couple of hours past brewing time without having to use electricity.

Disappointing design features for the Cuisinart brand

The big problem is the design of the carafe and interrupt-brew feature.

One of my favorite features is a nice loud alarm signalling your coffee is done brewing.

We looked at other brands and models and found nothing at any reasonable price that offered better features for us
