Flimsy, cheap plastic

coffee tastes and smells like burnt plastic

Came back downstairs a hour later to a horrific and toxic burnt plastic smell

While I'd rather not ever complement a plastic appliance (since I personally believe that any heated appliance should never be made of plastic, as some of us know; plastic is incompatible with heat when you're going to ingest the product

Where the top plastic meets carafe, water will condense/leak, and come out as you pour

The window water levels are clearly marked but the viewing window material is frosted plastic or glass with no contrast when you add water.

The thin cheap plastic over the heat plate developed a big hole

It leaks out from where the plastic meets the stainless

Thin type on clear plastic with water behind it, simply does not read well.

The carafe has a hollow, plastic handle with an opening at the hilt of the handle.

Also, the water-level indicator's markings are pale gray on cloudy plastic; you have to get out a flashlight if you want to read them.

Other makers we've boughtover the last ten (?) years havehad a horrid plastic taste but this one makes good clean coffee and is very attractive

the glass carafe has a round top and depends on the unstable plastic spout to pour

It was STILL going but the plate had lost most of it's covering and it starting making this disconcerting hot plastic

The pot lid is flimsy and the plastic is hard to keep white because of heat discoloration.

Plastic seems cheaper and pot not as nice

I can only assume that they used the wrong (cheapest) plastic to make this machine without regards to the health of the consumer

l love it.

The lid is difficult to remove as well as to replace it on the carafe

I haven' t got it cleared yet.

I like my coffee piping hot, this does not cut it.

I do not like this Coffee Maker mainly b/c of the pot
