Cuisinart DCC-1150BK 10-Cup Classic Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker, Black

    • If your goal is average coffee with no strong character or taste, and have $75 to blow, this is your machine.
    • The coffee tastes really good and turns out strong, just the way I like it
    • This coffee maker makes a piping hot cup of great tasting coffee!
    • The coffee stays hot in the thermal pot and doesn't get that bitter-burnt taste that usually comes after a couple of hours of sitting on the warmer.
    • Filter - There is a holder for a charcoal water filter which can improve the taste of your brew, depending on the water used
    • The coffee does come out tasting just fine, but its it just way too messy of a process
    • The coffee tastes great, it's very quick like 10
    • I really like the 1-4 cup setting, which takes more time but sprinkles higher temperature water over the grounds for richer taste; this feature is found on most higher end machines, but its presence on the DCC-1100 is a plus, given this model's more modest price range
    • The coffee is very hot, make good tasting
    • Once you make a cup of coffee & put the pot back on the warmer it starts cooking the coffee thus the coffee is very strong & taste burnt.

    • Reliable, continues to work properly, easy to clean, and the coffee tastes good!
    • I am guessing that explains the better tasting coffee.
    • That pot made HOT coffee, with great taste and function, and a thicker glass carafe
    • Thermal carafe, no heating plate to burn coffee, charcoal filter, cone filter design, ability to program coffeemaker to turn on at a later time, 1-4 cup superheating brewing cycle, simple controls, reliability, great coffee taste which is consistent over time, easy to clean and maintain
    • Carafe keeps coffee hot for about 3 hours and warm for about 8, and if you close and save like I do, it stays fresh enough for a great tasting cup of iced coffee even the following day
    • Coffee stays at serving temp for well over an hour without getting that awful cooked taste.

    • I had a cheap (MC) coffee maker and it to a specific amount of scoops to make a good rich tasting coffee.
    • Initially the machine produced coffee with a strong taste of plastic

    • One thing that I had to do was to put a few pots of water and run it through to break it in and to improve the taste of the coffee.
    • I love this coffee maker--very good tasting coffee and was easy to program and use.
    • We owned a Mr. Coffee, and used to grumble about the bitter taste (blaming it on our choice of coffee) and the lukewarm coffee (blaming it on taking it out of the coffee maker too soon), but recently on vacation we had an opportunity to use this Cuisinart Programmable.
    • the coffee brews ok and the taste is good.
    • I obviously can not get past the fact that this machine makes really hot coffee that looks like it should be terrific tasting.

    • Coffee brews rich, good tasting coffee from the cone shape filter
    • coffee stays hot and fresh tasting with the thermal pot
    • I'm attributing that to the charcol filter that must take the burned/bitter taste out of the brew

    • I brewed the same coffee on my old coffeemaker as on this one and am impressed by the difference--the coffee tastes rich and full on this model
    • Included gold tone coffee filter is a plus, but I prefer to use the paper filters (easier clean up and coffee tastes better to me).

    • This leaves a dull taste to my coffee and DOES NOT keep coffee hot.
    • Makes a great tasting cup of coffee
    • First pot brewed like a champ, and far superior taste to anything I get from
    • Not only did I hate the taste of my coffee, but I was worried about health issues.
    • Also I found I have to use a full scoop more at that to make the taste the same as the cheaper machine I had.
    • Believe me, the great tasting coffee is well worth the extra five seconds needed to pour carefully
    • Other makers we've boughtover the last ten (?) years havehad a horrid plastic taste but this one makes good clean coffee and is very attractive
    • - filtering out the chlorine out of domestic water supply is VITAL to great taste.
    • This coffee maker makes great tasting hot coffee.
    • The coffee is great tasting, and it is hotter than it was with my previous coffee maker.
    • Gave it a funny taste and smell
    • I recommend this coffee maker to anyone who wants great tasting coffee ready & waiting for them
    • The coffee also had an off taste, not like freshly brewed coffee.
    • There was a distinct "plastic" smell after each brew cycle....making good coffee taste terrible.
    • I have run straight water through the machine many times now but the issue is not improving, it really makes you wonder what chemicals you would ingest from this unit when pure water tastes like plastic
    • I'm using less coffee, and great taste!!
    • Makes a good tasting cup of coffee but the lid leaks every single time I try to pour a cup.
    • And it brews great tasting coffee, and that's what I really paid
    • The coffee taste great from the firct pot you make with no bad taste
    • Makes great, fresh tasting coffee that stays hot for hours
    • Maybe the fact that it takes so long brewing the coffee accounts for its bitter taste.
    • One thing I noticed, the coffee isn't as piping hot as it used to be, so perhaps the water isn't being heated at an ideal temperature over the beans, producing bitter tasting coffee
    • If you use too fine a grind, the unit will overflow and if you use too coarse a grind, you will get bad tasting coffee.6
    • This was my first coffee maker and it produces a very rich tasting flavor to your liking
    • Easy to program, the coffee tastes wonderful and the way the pot is made is great for my Mom since she has rheumatoid arthritis.
    • The coffee taste great from the firct pot you make with no bad taste
    • Makes a good tasting cup of coffee but the lid leaks every single time I try to pour a cup.
    • The second cup is always hotter than the first with no bitter taste.
    • It may not be the absolute best cup of coffee I've ever tasted, but the small difference in taste compared to the hassle of my french press every morning is not nearly enough to switch me back for everyday use.3
