Cuisinart DGB-625BC Grind-and-Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal

    • The best coffee machine
    • This machine makes fine coffee but as far as grinding the beans it's a disappointment
    • After looking at the great rating this had, I figured it would be a great machine
    • Yesterday, I wasn't able to get mine to power on at all, so I've finally been forced to start thinking about it's replacement (which is how I find myself writing this review), & I'm VERY happy to find that this wonderful machine is still available
    • Worst machine ever
    • This machine is super easy to use and we love the feature that allows you to program when it's going to turn on and how long after it will stay on
    • This machine is super easy to use and we love the feature that allows you to program when it's going to turn on and how long after it will stay on
    • Love this machine!
    • New machine works great and very satisfied with the customer service
    • New machine works great and very satisfied with the customer service
    • If I am not careful I wind up unintentionally pushing one of these and turning something on (sometimes it’s that deafening grinder), and, as it’s not easy to disarm the machine, I wind up pulling the plug from the outlet
    • the Grinder becomes a hassle and requires more effort to remove the pasty coffee grinds due to condensation as mentioned above.- For a Cuisineart product, it looks cheapI've bought better machines for $40.00 or less, that don't have a grinder but do just as good of a job brewing
    • My wife and I love this machine
    • This machine only has external gauge, less handy when filling.
    • It is a bit of a chore, but keeps the machine working perfectly and only takes a few minutes
    • dam good coffee machine
    • Totally awesome machine for the price!
    • This new model seems to have addressed any issues I had with the previous one (although I still loved that machine, hence, the reason I bought another one).Other improvements---they removed the little 'shelf' under the basket which was always a mess to clean.
    • Still it is a great machine for the office and it was a great price.
    • We really like the machine but this is the second one we purchased and now its broke--won't even grind
    • I still felt this machine was worth a chance, but boy was I wrong
    • I thought my previous machine was clean-up intensive; this is worse!
    • Great machine
    • In the future I would spend more money for a smoother working machine, and advise future buyers to do the same.
    • Overall I like this machine, but it has some drawbacks.
    • Also the plastic grinder cap design makes it a very difficult-to-clean machine.
    • my main complaints is that the machine doesn’t let the beans steep long enough in order to get strong coffee
    • This machine is not bad, but at this price I expect it to meet my needs easily.
    • This machine - even with a dark espresso roast the coffee still simply was not good
    • I love this machine.
    • The machine needs to be cleaned out after two uses otherwise the coffee grinds will clog the openning to where they fall down the shoot to the basket
    • It's also harder to keep this machine clean, because it houses a small grinder in the top, which gets damp from steam and is always a challenge to keep clean and dry
    • I was so excited, until I quickly learned that no one wanted to clean the machine properly
    • Its an attractive machine but the coffee isn't hot enough
    • Still, this is machine is an improvement over my previous (non-thermal) grind-and-brew, and far better than my old Mr Coffee.
    • i actively dislike this machine and i am sorry i bought it.
    • After having been burned twice with the 600BC model and now the 650BC model, I am throwing both machines in the trash.
    • Awesome coffee machine.
    • Sept 2014 (4 months after purchase): the machine keeps beeping complaining the top cover is not closes
    • Nice machine
    • Really bad machine.
    • Like what??EDIT September 9, 2015: For some reason, when making 12 cups (or 12 Cuisinart cups I suppose), the machine ends up filling to 11 and the remaining 1 "cup" gets gradually spilled over the carafe onto the heating plate and onto my counter
    • In short, good coffee, but expect to keep this machine well cleaned in order to operate.
    • Overall, it is great little machine
    • I actually love this machine, but there are two tiny things that I would love to see improved - hence 4 stars and not 5.
    • Love this machine!
    • This is our second machine... and we love it!
    • This machine is just a huge hassle
    • Did not like this machine at all
    • * my coffee so the machine is very important to me
    • We had been buying the least expensive coffee machines on the market and most lasted less than a year - so this was an upgrade in quality for us - and we certainly hope it will last longer
    • This machine is ready to operate and clean
    • This machine works fine as long as you keep it clean
    • It's a great coffee machine, however, it is a pain in the a$s always having to clean out the bean container on the inside
    • This machine will waste your carefully-chosen, expensive whole bean coffee
    • awesome machine
    • I would much prefer a machine that holds a quantity of beans so all I have to do is add fresh water and the paper filter.
    • The machine still works, but I have to put an object on top of the machine to add the necessary weight to trigger the pressure sensor
    • I am someone who does the recommended maintenances on my appliances, so this machine is all the more frustrating.
    • Nice coffee machine while it lasted, however 1 year
    • I have owned grind and brew machines in the past, but when my last one broke I needed something quickly and purchased a cheap drip machine that worked well
    • It would be perfect machine with timer option
    • This machine may just die on me in a week, but so far, so good, as I said
    • Like others I REALLY wanted to like this machine.
    • This is an excellent machine
    • It's a lovely machine and works great except for one thing: the coffee is lukewarm
    • It's a lovely machine and works great except for one thing: the coffee is lukewarm
    • Very nice machine, nothing like fresh ground coffee in the morning.
    • This machine does not grind the beans down enough to make strong coffee
    • Nobody wants to disassemble a complicated machine, clean it and reassemble it after every pot!All Cuisinart has succeeded in doing with this unit is that they put the grinder deep inside the coffee machine so that it's much more difficult to deal with and they've forced the owner to do an additional 15-45 minutes of washing-the-dishes every day!Way to go guys
    • This machine performs well
    • Great machine and very easy to use
    • I would highly recommend this coffee machine.
    • These machines are not cheap and three in 6 1/2 years is enough for me
    • Replaces our old one, all of the issues we had with the old one over the years have been upgraded and it is a great machine.
    • It's a pretty nice machine, and YES...cleaning of the grinding unit is required after every use(or before ever use) and a thorough drying is paramount
    • But I rarely use machines like this, so I am not the best judge.
    • Nice coffee machine with a built in grinder
    • I did not realize is that this machine is incredibly loud when grinding beans.
    • I don't lim that u have to clean the machine and load the beans in every time it is used
    • It’s taken 30 years and probably as many coffee pots for me to perfect what is required to really enjoy one’s coffee; quality coffee, a carafe as opposed to a glass pot, and a decent brew machine
    • Although this machine is pretty and shiny, it’s just too much work
    • The machine would not grind until my husband took a fork to it and depressed what needed to be depressed.
    • I could almost chalk it up to one bad machine, but not after two of them in succession
    • I would recommend this machine.
    • I have wasted so much time cleaning up this machine's messes, and wasted SO MUCH COFFEE
    • The machine itself is compact and easy to use, but I think I will avoid machines that grind and brew from now on.
    • Great machine; works very well, makes great coffee, and the machine will last many years.
    • Great machine; works very well, makes great coffee, and the machine will last many years.
    • The machine is junk.
    • So disappointed in the cost of this worthless machine.
    • If you want more, be willing to pay for a fancier machine.
    • The second was an Amazon order, with a heavy, handsome brushed steel carafe that was fairly impractical, and a machine that needed like a metric ton of coffee beans to make my one-cup-to-blast-me-into-orbit morning coffee; but that replaced another brand's letdown design and results.
    • It doesn't have a burr grinder but seems to be a nice machine
    • After a couple of weeks we just stopped using this machine and went back to our cheap backup machine.
    • Two, yes, TWICE we bought this machine and twice it has failed us
    • I'll note that I didn't have any problems with the cleaning process that others mentioned during our 5 days of experimenting, so the machine is functional, but not right for us
    • A great machine and a great buy!
    • GREAT coffee machine
    • Not a user friendly machine
    • The machine works as described
    • I love this machine but make sure you clean the grinder section every other brew or it will build up with sediment
    • It is a great machine for the great price.
    • Even the Keurig does a better job than this, and it's more convenient because I don't have to clean it every single time (even using reusable pods). So, in summary, if you like good coffee, don't buy this machine.
    • It's a beautiful machine & has stood up to over a years worth of use with no hesitation.
    • Even after changing filters and cleaning the machine, I have to restart the process an average of 3-4 times to make 9 cups of coffee with ground coffee.
    • Great coffee, terrible machine
    • I have an espresso machine and grinder and use that occasionally, and did not really have the space for or want to spend the money on a larger, fancier machine
    • I have tried and tried to LOVE this machine
    • It brews a sour pot of coffee, the chaffee spills all over the place, the grinder sends full beans down the shoot which then clog it, and the machine is a nightmare to clean
    • This machine has a pretty serious design flaw
    • A grinder and brewer in one compact machine, and an awesome price, are what drew me to it
    • Love this machine
    • Good machine, delivers as promises, many parts, requires more attention.
    • The machine will grind but not brew at all.
    • Nice machine
    • A great coffee machine
    • (Too many people had complained about defective machines for me to feel comfortable otherwise.)I've been using this now for about a month and while I don't regret my purchase, there are days when I wish I had the old drip machine back
    • Great machine
    • Great machine.
    • it was a good machine when it worked.
    • Our machine works no less than one pot for each day.
    • I did not realize is that this machine is incredibly loud when grinding beans.
    • A friend recommended this machine so i decided to try it out
    • The only downside is cleaning the machine, it is a bit of a hassle (this is why I only gave the Cuisinart 4 Stars instead of 5 Stars)
    • I wanted to like this machine
    • Overall it's a solid machine and it's much more attractive on our counter than the old machine.
    • Overall great machine!!!!
    • Great machine
    • Great machine to get your day off on the right foot!!
    • After our DBG-700BC broke after several years of use, I replaced it with this poorly designed machine
    • The only downside is cleaning the machine, it is a bit of a hassle (this is why I only gave the Cuisinart 4 Stars instead of 5 Stars)
    • Overall, I think this is a great coffee machine because we like our coffee freshly ground, love the automatic timer so we can set it before we go to bed, and love the thermal carafe.
    • I would spend the extra money on a better machine that has a higher quilty grinder.
    • if you dont like using more water to clean grinder than you use to make coffee then this machine is not for you.
    • and then the mechanism(s) that allows coffee to drip into the machine began to have issues even though we meticulously cleaned the machine after every use.
    • The older machine now works perfectly, and I gave it to my daughter, who continues to use it daily
    • This machine grinds and brews coffee exactly the way I like it
    • It is a tedious machine and many idiosyncrasies
    • For a long time, we couldn't figure out why this machine made our coffee so bitter
    • Not the best machine as I couldn't get the grinder to consistently work
    • Not the best machine as I couldn't get the grinder to consistently work
    • The coffee tastes great and the machine does not take long to grind/brew.
    • However, the machine is easy to maintain and operate, has a timer, and the carafe does a good job keeping coffee hot.
    • I highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants a superior brew (medium bodied) and a well built, easy to clean coffee-maker.
    • Great coffee, terrible machine
    • Condensation problems in the grinder housing ruined what could've been a perfect machine
    • These machines will overflow and ruin your floor, your cupboards and your power strips
    • the negative reviews and comments don't hold water for me.first, people made this machine sound noisier than it is
    • Just put the beans in and let the machine do the magic of turning them into grounds and coffee.
    • LOVE this coffee machine!!
    • As an engineer I can tell you that any machine designed to grind anything will not provide an absolutely uniformly ground product
    • Wanted to like this very much as it's a cool idea, but instead it was an expensive failed experiment.
    • Bottom line is if you want a reasonably convenient, fresh ground, cup of coffee that will never taste burnt and you are willng to invest 5 minutes in cleanup after each use, the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal is in my opinion as good as it gets at a reasonable price point
    • Works as it should but is a pain in the a$$ to clean
    • The only advantage this coffee maker has over my old $20 machine from Target is the scheduling functionality, which works as it should.
    • Also the plastic grinder cap design makes it a very difficult-to-clean machine.
    • Do not overfill as it will leak from the
    • Please try to make this return authorization as easy as
    • Also it uses the flat cup kind of basket, and coffee doesn't taste nearly as good as when using a cone filter or basket
    • We are not gentle on them, but prefer over the burr grinder as we drink a flavored coffee and it does not clog like the burr did.
    • The carafes cool down the hot coffee as they fill up
    • Love i!t!
