Cuisinart DGB-625BC Grind-and-Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal

    • I had no idea that the "resting plate" wasn't a hot plate; that should be made clearer in the item's listing.
    • Good but doesn't keep the coffee hot enough on the hot plate
    • I don't like the fact that the warmer plate doesn't stay on or that you can not program it to stay on for 4 hours like my last one I get up early and my husband gets up later and the coffee is somewhat cold
    • As soon as the brew ends the hot plate underneath the Thermal Carafe Turns OFF!!!
    • All of a sudden the hot plate just over
    • But It's as if the warming plate turns itself off when the brewing is complete.
    • It also does not have a warming plate and while you think that would not be a big deal with an insulated stainless steel carafe, it is
    • Cons - the filter housing has started regularly overflowing, dumping grinds and water all over the carafe and hot plate like a mud slide
    • It is a very safe coffee pot as it shuts off after the coffee completes it's drip process, (the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time and there isn't a hot plate on the unit to "burn the coffee"
    • Since there is no hot plate the coffee never burns from sitting in the pot
    • Have had this one five months and the hot plate is already not keeping the coffee warm
    • The Cuisinart that I had previously (and loved for 8 years) had a hot plate, so I assumed this one did, too
    • Instead, it dribbles down the front and down to the warming plate
    • Great so far, lot quieter grinder than the old Cuisinart, the only thing I found differant was the hot plate didn't keep the coffee as hot very
    • I did not realize that this model did not have a warming plate, and the coffee does not stay hot for very long at all.
    • I have had grind and brew coffee makers with both glass carafe and hot plate and thermos and no hot plate.
    • There is no hot plate under the carafe.
    • Hot plate cannot be manually activated.
    • My only complaint is that I'm not able to set the warming plate to stay on longer, by default it turns off after 2 hrs.
    • My friend told me that her coffee is not hot enough and there is no warming plate to warm it.
    • Good as always and no hot plate to suck energy and burn coffee
    • Only wish was an added warming plate, it does stay hot for a bit but I wish it did longer
    • It shuts off after its made, including the hot plate
    • So unlike almost all other makers, there is NO hot plate under the carafe that continues to warm the coffee for hours
    • The warming plate turns itself off after a while and this prevents you from having that nasty old burnt coffee taste.
    • The coffee is not hot.... there is no hot plate
    • Good product but wish the alert would be louder and the option to keep the hot plate on longer would be available.
    • Easy to brew, but hot plate turns off when finished brewing
    • After a month of use, the warming plate looks like it's had years of hard use
    • the reviews about smoking, burning up, water going everywhere, etc have to be operator errors in my opinion....if you don't put the lid on the coffee pot the quick serve shut off valve will not open and the water will fill up to the top of the basket and overflow which could also explain the shorting out and smoking of the hot plate especially if the unit was setting in a tray where the water would get to the wiring under the hot plate
    • Seemed fine now all of a sudden it won't keep the warming plate on for set time
    • I purchased a thermal coffee maker because I was finding that the types with a hot plate were "cooking" the coffee after a period of time.
    • ; no complaints except a warming plate would be a nice touch.
    • The hot plate does not stay hot which keeps the coffee from cooking down
    • I was worried the new one wouldn't because some people reviewed no hot plate,YES
    • The warming plate does NOT keep the coffee hot
    • Not having my coffee being warmed for hours by a hot plate improves taste too
    • There is not hot plate to keep the liquid hot..just the carafe that does not work.
    • Wanted to like this very much as it's a cool idea, but instead it was an expensive failed experiment.
    • Bottom line is if you want a reasonably convenient, fresh ground, cup of coffee that will never taste burnt and you are willng to invest 5 minutes in cleanup after each use, the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal is in my opinion as good as it gets at a reasonable price point
    • Works as it should but is a pain in the a$$ to clean
    • The only advantage this coffee maker has over my old $20 machine from Target is the scheduling functionality, which works as it should.
    • Also the plastic grinder cap design makes it a very difficult-to-clean machine.
    • Do not overfill as it will leak from the
    • Please try to make this return authorization as easy as
    • Also it uses the flat cup kind of basket, and coffee doesn't taste nearly as good as when using a cone filter or basket
    • We are not gentle on them, but prefer over the burr grinder as we drink a flavored coffee and it does not clog like the burr did.
    • The carafes cool down the hot coffee as they fill up
    • n’t stay warm for long.
    • n’t go through to the bottom half and can clean the debris before making coffee
