Cuisinart DGB-700BC Grind & Brew 12 Cup Coffeemaker (Black/Brushed Chrome)

    • All those comments about clogging, needing constant cleaning, and strange noises are all NOT true with what I have experienced with mine the last 8 weeks
    • Another complaint we read about was the noise that the grinder made.
    • The last time we tried, it brewed a 4-cup pot and then started making a really loud noise and started billowing smoke.
    • THE GRINDING NOISE IS NOT A PROBLEM.
    • Had I known about the loud noise, I would not have purchased it.
    • We found this out the hard way on the first morning we used it by setting the auto function - our kitchen is downstairs, but we were still woken up (including the dogs) by the loud noise (not realizing it was the coffee maker)
    • The coffee maker does obviously make noise when it is grinding the coffee beans, but it is not so loud when it is in the kitchen and your bedroom is elsewhere
    • The grinder definitely makes noise and it's bothersome to clean the
    • When it grind beans, it sounds a little noise.
    • However, I did notice it was making some unusual clicking noises
    • Other grind-n-brews we tried would beep every 2 minutes for up to an hour if we did not take the pot off.3
    • After purchasing 2 other grind-n-brews (and returning them) we ordered this one and love it!1
    • I really liked the look and convenience of the grind n brew and had good luck with Cuisinart brand coffee makers in the past but not this one.
    • The strength selector is great as I like my coffee strong
    • And if it ever fails I will immediately but another one just like it.
    • I have it set to grind for 12 cups of strong coffee but can only add enough water for just under 9 cups to get coffee as strong as I like it.
