I read some good some bad reviews from people before purchasing

My guess is that any positive reviews below were written in the first 3 months, before the grinder burned out.

However, I'm writing this review today, April 9th, 2016 because the thing died, less than a year after I purchased it.

I had research several brands, they were either too expensive or had bad reviews.

I was very excited when I saw Cuisinart Grind and Brew, the price was right and the reviews were good, so I ordered it.

3-year ‘insurance’ thing, since I did read those not as good reviews

Listen to negative reviews on this product!!!

This would have gotten a MUCH better review if it hadn't almost burst into flames after a few months use

I don't care how many great reviews it gets, the product won't last.

Some reviews say that it is noisy, well, it is grinding the coffee fresh, so it is a little loud, but what would one expect anyway

The negative reviews posted by far too many people do not treat this machine and likely many other machines fairly.

I saw the decent reviews on this grind & brew pot and fondly remembered one I had years ago that brewed tasty coffee but was a pain to clean

The range of coffee makers, prices, alerts on problems from them, bad and good reviews, etc etc etc, was daunting

I am so glad I did not listen to the bad reviews.

and after seeing many of there poor reviews on grind and brew units I decided to go with this one!

The reviews were helpful

I was a little hesitant to buy this due to some of the negative reviews which claimed it did not work

The strength selector is great as I like my coffee strong

And if it ever fails I will immediately but another one just like it.

I have it set to grind for 12 cups of strong coffee but can only add enough water for just under 9 cups to get coffee as strong as I like it.
