This bowl doesn’t freeze

Great price and the bowl fit perfectly

I had first incorrectly ordered a 1.5 quart freezer bowl, but Amazon worked with me in returnning that item, so I replaced with this one--the correct 2 quart freezer bowl.

Avoid using anything metal to scoop the ice cream from the sides and bottom as it will scratch the bowl.

You have to freeze the bowl prior to use

The bowl works great

So please be aware that this bowl is not suitable for anyone seeking to avoid petroleum-based coatings and aluminum food containers.

As many prior reviews stressed the bowl must be very cold

It takes around 24 hours to freeze the bowl, so a second one can allow you to make 4 quarts the same day.

I have both bowls frozen overnight in the freezer and then take one out for the first half and then use the second bowl for the second half

I also bought an additional "stainless steel" bowl for the unit.

the bowl is good; but it seems that this one gets "more" ice cream attached to the walls than the original that came with the entire unit

Having the second bowl is Great!

The bowls must be frozen overnight for the machine to work, so having an extra one on hand allows you to make 2 flavors at a time.

But my daughter loves having 2 frozen bowls ready to go!!
