I love this ice cream bowl

need second bowl for second house, love the ice cream maker

If you plan to use your ice cream maker a lot, you'll want to order this, especially because the bowl must be frozen for at least 15 hours prior to freezing, making it impossible to make two ice cream recipes back-to-back.

When frozen overnight, this bowl makes ice cream in about 30 minutes, and does it well

I would recommend the extra freezer bowl if you have kids.

(Believe me, no matter how cold the bowl feels after the first batch, it is *not* cold enough to make a second batch - I know, I tried.)This bowl fits our ICE-20 perfectly and arrrived quickly and most importantly of all -works great.

You need to have two freezer bowls so you can transfer your batch to a colder bowl to finish making your ice cream.

Then my bowl was compromised at some point and the freezing agent in the bowl no longer froze

Always put mixing paddle inside pre-frozen container bowl before adding your ice cream mix....it starts freezing immediately.

This would make sense, since a vacuum seal could be broken by mistreatment (which would explain why some customers' bowls never work upon arrival) or just fail over time.

The truth of the matter is that you need to freeze the bowl overnight if you want to make ice-cream.
