So does the option for stronger brew.
-
We have worked it out that 9 cups of water and 14 tablespoons freshly ground coffee makes a fairly decent brew (when the machine is set to Bold), though of course it's nowhere near the flavor of french press
-
Not sure how the "bold" and the "1-4 cups" buttons actually operate (faster or slower brewing time?), but the bold selection does make the coffee stronger; however, we tried the 1-4 cup button yesterday and honestly can't tell what's different with it selected
-
It did a good job of brewing although different enough than the Braun it replaced that I'll spend next week adjusting grind and brew details.
-
But I still believe the newer machine has some upgrades that dramatically improve the brewing
-
To this point, the only drawback has been that it is a bit noisy when brewing.
-
It makes the counter slippery and I’ve noticed I need to add more water AFTER the first fill; otherwise the brew comes out TOO strong.(Like, it stains the pot appreciably .... even after rinsing the pot!!
-
Easy to fill reservoir, settings for how hot you want the carafe to keep your coffee, brews good coffee and easy to program.
-
It would make a loud clicking noise while brewing and would only brew half a pot when we would put a whole pot of water in to be brewed, leaving the water compartment half filled
-
I typically sneak a cup while its still brewing which is a nice feature
-
The brew is richer, the machine is much quieter and it is more intuitive to program
-
The timer is accurate and the programmed brew cycle is much easier than older models
-
The water filter option is a nice plus, and the "bold" brew setting seems to slow the brewing a bit to give steamy water more time to absorb coffee favor while brewing
-
Works great and makes a good brew quickly
-
Then your first brew will be like my second one and you will have great coffee.
-
seems to be the key.push button items are nice, we never program and the quicker brew is nice.
-
As I said the coffee is good, you will like the brew.
-
loud when brewing
-
The first pour after the brew is nice and hot even after adding cream and sugar but even better the re-fill is also hot
-
delicious brew (and I am a coffee
-
Charcoal definitely purifies water and coffee brews and stays hot
-
You can boost the brew for bolder flavor.
-
I live in Seattle the Urban Coffee Capital and know a good brew and this delivers.
-
Love the slow strong brew setting
-
Very quiet and tastes like good brew on the bold feature.
-
Great brew, fast & easy to program.
-
Hubby is coffee snob and wanted expensive "shower head" brew system
-
Also nice to have a "bold" setting which seems to darken the brew a bit.
-
very good coffee maker - plus decently fast brew
-
Was easy to use, but the brew is not strong
-
I thought I could live with the issue, but since then, the machine now makes loud popping noises when brewing and the clean light comes on almost daily (even if I clean the machine with vinegar and water, as recommended in the user manual and use filter watered)
-
Nice programmable features with an alert when finished brewing.
-
For a couple months now, the coffee maker makes an incredibly loud "clunking" sound as it brews
-
This new one makes a super brew!
-
The brew is consistent, the temperature adjustment seems to work exactly as designed (in fairness, I've only used M (medium) setting, but compared with other drip-brew coffee makers, this seems perfect for my tastes)
-
This carafe kept the coffee much hotter than the Zojirushi Fresh Brew I had.
-
but you need to add additional coffee to compensate or your brew will be weak even if you use the bold setting
-
Love the "Bold" function, because I like my brew strong
-
I have Zojirushi Fresh Brew which I
-
The the strong brew option and this machine keeps your coffee HOT
-
Love the slow strong brew setting
-
It's really loud and clunky when brewing too.
-
Excellent coffee brewing.
-
It has a 'Bold' setting which is supposed to produce a more 'robust' brew.
-
Quick and a nice brew
-
Other than that, it’s a great brewing, we’ll made unit
-
Disappointed coffeemaker overflows while brewing
-
Easy to manage, clean and I have a fresh brewed coffee made perfect every morning.
-
The water filter option is a nice plus, and the "bold" brew setting seems to slow the brewing a bit to give steamy water more time to absorb coffee favor while brewing
-
The stainless carafe keeps the brew warm for hours
-
If only kinda delays the brew and allows the filer to overflow and made a bit of as mess.
-
Fast brew time and the re-usable mesh filter has been great and never have to worry about not having a paper filter any more
-
Even with highest temperature setting, the coffee is warm freshly brewed.
-
Love the 14 cup brewing
-
I tried another highly rated brand, but it looked cheap and was very loud when brewing
-
Today I woke up to fresh brewed coffee waiting for me in my new Cuisinart coffee maker
-
Doesn't over heat the water, consistent brew every day
-
Less pieces to wash than the Grind n Brew series
-
We have the older model (5 years) and it is by far the best automatic brew maker we have owned
-
Using more coffee produces a richer brew, but it still tastes as if it's been boiled too long.
-
Also leaks water when brewing
-
Excellent (hot ) brewing temperature
-
My old coffee maker was a 10 cup and I have found that I can use the same amount of beans with 12 cups and the bold setting for a little stronger brew.
-
It is fast and has a few nice brewing settings, but it is hard to pour the last bit of coffee out
-
Nice features include programmable auto-shutoff (I set it to 3 hours), programmable hot plate setting (Medium is as hot as I would ever want it & considerably hotter than my previous coffee maker), programmable "done brewing" beep (I like the notification) & preservation of the time of day for 1 minute if the power goes out (useful when I want to test the kitchen GFCI)
-
I would have thought it would "sense" the missing carafe and delay the brew.
-
We've been long time Cuisinart coffeemaker users, especially the Grind n Brew series
-
14 cups, Low warmer setting, Regular brew (not Bold)- took 14 min
-
From the first morning I tried this, I get up to smell of fresh brewed coffee.
-
The strong brew setting really does help - I use it every time
-
It has a BOLD function that brews more slowly for a stronger brew
-
That applies to all coffee makers-- drip, cold brew, pour over, press
-
I use Starbucks coffee grounds for making my coffee, and the results are as good as the coffee brewed at Starbucks.
-
It's pretty loud while brewing when it first starts and ends.
-
After 2 months of great coffee, all of a sudden there is a burnt plastic smell when brewing.
-
This is a 14 cup and allows a stronger brew.
-
LOVE the LavAzza Crema e Gusto Ground Coffee 8.80 oz (Pack of 8)
