Cuisinart Stainless Steel Thermal Coffeemaker, 12 Cup Carafe, Silver

    • The true DCC-3400 comes with a steel carafe and HAS NO HOT PLATE
    • This is not a hot plate either.
    • the warming plate which isn’t a true warmer is defective and the finish is melting/bubbling off.
    • I had to order the one I had with a hot plate to keep coffee hot.
    • Second, the carafe doesn’t hold heat that long and because it’s built like a thermos, you can’t have a hot plate to keep the coffe
    • Cannot use the coffee pot lid and place back on the warming plate.
    • And that DCC-2650 was a replacement for another DCC-2650 that arrived with a cracked warming plate.
    • There are to high temp rubber hose that are hooked up to the hot plate and coffee maker which the water runs through to heat it up 140 DEGREES
    • I like the adjustable warming plate, that's about it, other than that it's an over priced piece of junk that seems to work when it wants to
    • Coffee does taste so much better when it hasn’t been sitting on a hot plate on that note, this has to be the worst carafe on the planet
    • Overall the coffee maker is fine except that one design flaw is that the unit should have either an on/off switch or some indicator that the warming plate has turned off.
    • Only problem is the non-stick coating on the warming plate breaks down.
    • Yeah, so all the questions and reviews that say this has a hot plate are wrong
    • Coffee is not consistently but the hot plate is rusty already.
    • By the end of January 2018, (1) the plate on which the coffee pot sits has rusted, and (2) the beeper no longer works to alert that the coffee is ready or the plate will no longer be hot.
    • However, the plate and the underside of the equipment already is rusted.
    • Coffee is hot when it comes out and the warming plate keeps it that way
    • Love the temperature warming plate
    • Also really like that you can set the warming plate to either High, Medium or Low.
    • The coffee maker was still working fine but was looking rather sad, specifically the hot plate material was peeling (always had it set on hottest setting).
    • Great features, including a pause button, a bold setting, and three settings for the hot plate.
    • Also the hot plate is peeling away with two quarter sized areas now with no paint.
    • Last Cuisinart the warming plate rusted out
    • My only one complaint is there isn’t a button that allows you to keep the plate hot for an extended period of
    • Bottom plate doesn't stay hot to keep your coffee hot
    • Why can't they make better plates.
    • I purchased the same model because: (1) it made good tasting coffee, (2) had an adjustable hot plate so you have hot hot coffee, and (3) the white and stainless color looks best in my beachy kitchen.
    • Last Cuisinart the warming plate rusted out
    • Brews great coffee, the hot plate keeps the coffee hot, its easy to program and clean!
    • HOWEVER, the hot plate has begun to peel
    • My old one dripped everywhere when I removed the pot early and I always had to clean the burnt coffee off the warming plate
    • Also, the warmer plate temperature is adjustable.
    • It is easy to set up and use and has 3 settings for the warming plate.
    • I will say that when straight from the pot the coffee is SUPER hot, even on the lowest plate warmer setting.
    • Coffee is not consistently but the hot plate is rusty already.
    • Yeah, so all the questions and reviews that say this has a hot plate are wrong
    • By the end of January 2018, (1) the plate on which the coffee pot sits has rusted, and (2) the beeper no longer works to alert that the coffee is ready or the plate will no longer be hot.
    • Can adjust the hot plate temperature.
    • The coating on the warmer plate is deteriorating.
    • This coffee pot immediately shuts off after brewing because it’s designed to allow the carafe to keep the coffee hot, not the hot plate
    • The first few months of coffee were excellent until the warmer plate began scorching the coffee 70% of time at the “low” setting
    • After 2 weeks leaky water reservoir and warming plate not real hot on highest setting resulting in not real hot coffee!
    • Makes great coffee, Insulated carafe keeps coffee fresh and hot for hours without needed a hot plate and needless electric waste.
    • I have not had any problems with the warming plate flaking off.
    • Good coffee maker, just wish the hot plate would stay on longer
    • And that DCC-2650 was a replacement for another DCC-2650 that arrived with a cracked warming plate.
    • First, the warming plate is a piece of junk
    • the warming plate which isn’t a true warmer is defective and the finish is melting/bubbling off.
    • The coffee maker is not even a year old and the coating on the warmer plate is peeling off.
    • And the ability to set the temperature on the warming plate is great
    • They keep the coffee hot enough without using a hot plate which can turn the coffee bitter (typically I begin my first cup a couple of hours before the other family members do)
    • Though some of the plastic around the warming plate melted at the same time, but the next day it wouldn't even heat the water
    • Control of the warming plate temperature
    • However, I have not had any spillage that requires cleanup of the warming plate
    • Must remain on hot plate in order for coffee to get hot.
    • My biggest concern is the crappy looking hot plate
    • Six months and the warming plate died, after modest once-a-day usage
    • so I liked the option of turning the hot plate up
    • WITH STAND THE HIGH TEMP OF THE HOT PLATE AND
    • Separate control buttons for Bold or Regular brew, Auto On, Clean Mode, Carafe Temperature (H/M/L), and a dual button for Brew and setting the warmer plate timer (0-4 hours).
    • the coffee doesn't stay piping hot too long in the carafe, too bad this doesn't have a warming plate.
    • The best feature, IMO, is the option to change the heat setting on the hot plate - the highest setting keeps coffee piping hot.
    • I've only had it 8 months and the hot plate is peeling off.
    • Nice features include programmable auto-shutoff (I set it to 3 hours), programmable hot plate setting (Medium is as hot as I would ever want it & considerably hotter than my previous coffee maker), programmable "done brewing" beep (I like the notification) & preservation of the time of day for 1 minute if the power goes out (useful when I want to test the kitchen GFCI)
    • So when this DCC-3200 arrived with a warming plate that was installed improperly (wicked downward slant toward the back of the coffee maker), I swore off Cuisinart!
    • You can control the temperature on the hot plate to low, medium, or hot
    • We love the lowest of the three warming plate setting and the fully adjustable power off delay
    • If the warmer plate stayed on for more than four hours and if Cuisinart had a better reputation for supporting their products, we'd probably buy it again, despite the semi-short-Gevity of our first unit
    • I guess if you want a steaming hot cup, you need to go with the glass carafe on the hot plate or the internal warming elements
    • There is also no danger of burning the coffee, as there is with models that have a hot plate and glass carafe.
    • Timer works perfectly, and the plate keeps coffee warm and savory for hours.
    • The only thing we really didn't like about it was that four hours was the maximum time the warmer plate could be set to keep it warm, which it did a good job for those four hours.
    • Six months and the warming plate died, after modest once-a-day usage
    • However, after only a few weeks of use the molded plastic structure itself cracked near the bottom by the warming hot plate
    • My biggest concern is the crappy looking hot plate
    • I did not purchase this from Amazon (which I love) but am posting this review here, as well as on my purchase site, to warn the public.
    • Works as I expected.
    • I wish the stainless felt more substantial and that the black stainless was as dark as in the photo - I feel I paid extra for something that isn't what it is advertised to be
    • After each fill, it is necessary to wipe up the spilled water from the side of the unit, as well as from the counter top
    • Bottom line, you will be very satisfied with your first cup of coffee regarding the coffee flavor and temp, as well as the tight footprint of this maker on your counter top!
    • works as it should.
    • n’t ding a star for it.
    • LOVE the LavAzza Crema e Gusto Ground Coffee 8.80 oz (Pack of 8)
