WARNING the replacement pot is outrageous

We enjoyed the hot water dispenser on our Cuisinart CHW-12 pots but both of the started leaking after about 5 years

We searched high and low for a good 14 cup pot and eventually we settled on this one, The Cuisineart DCC-3200AMZ

It makes the counter slippery and I’ve noticed I need to add more water AFTER the first fill; otherwise the brew comes out TOO strong.(Like, it stains the pot appreciably .... even after rinsing the pot!!

Otherwise, your pot like my first one will not drain into the pot and you will have a mess

The insulated pot was difficult to clean and eventually started making the coffee taste 'burned'.

It has an auto off feature that can leave the pot warmer on for up to 4 hours -- for those of us who don't wake up at the same time as our spouses.

The direction that came with the unit were easy to understand and the first pot made was excellent

I have to improvise and use something under the pot to prop up the pot enough to have it contact the base of the filter, or else the coffee fills up the filter and starts overflowing

However, after a couple weeks the pot began to leak at the joint below the pour spout, which causes coffee to drip everywhere when pouring (and water when filling the tank).

Per cuisinart there is no replacement pot available.

It seems decent and it makes a decent pot of coffee

The coffee tastes great and the pot is easy to use and clean

So I'm now on the third pot in about 4 months of use (average of about 4x per week).Edit: Third pot now leaking in the same location.

The other reviews were true in that you can’t empty the whole pot of water into the coffee maker because the top lid doesn’t lean back far enough

The coffee stays hot for about 3 hours (longer if you warm the pot with hot water prior to brewing).

Also, the lid doesn't open back far enough to easily pour the water in if you use the pot to pour it in, AND the pot pours well until you get to the last cup, then you have to tip the pot over so far that it pours everywhere.

only complaint is that pouring all the water into the brewer requires you to twist the pot itself because the back gets in the way of pouring

My wife is saving 10 minutes in the morning by programming the coffee maker the night before and having a full pot ready for us both in the morning.

The coffee doesn't continue to "cook" after it has brewed so it doesn't get stronger and the pot keeps it nice and hot even 4 hours after it has been brewed.

After assuring that all was being done correctly (I had the pot over a year), he agreed that I was entitled to a replacement pot

After just ten months, pot #3 is in a state wherein the clock works fine but all of the push buttons are inoperative

The programmable option allows for a perfect pot of coffee ready in the morning

We have extra carafes too so when we have guests we can make a pot and then immediately make another pot and both pots stay warm.
