Personally the size is perfect, not too big, not too small; and is easily portable and can be stored in cabinet, counter or medium to large drawers.

However, when the timer beeped, and I lifted the lid and saw how evenly golden brown the waffles were, I felt relieved (I used a 4.5 setting that turned out to be perfect for me)

This was on a heat setting of "5" and they were a perfect golden brown

The waffles come out golden brown, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside

That recipe was thicker to start out with and was incredibly light and fluffy, again on a setting of "5" for a perfect golden brown

Otherwise, it heats up fast, cooks evenly, the non stick surface is pretty reliable, and makes delicious looking waffles.

It is, however, very light weight and attractive looking.

This is a good one especially if you're looking for a space saving quality waffle iron and you prefer a waffle of medium thickness.

The unit is very modern looking & stands on end for smaller storage spaces.

I first tried a cheap multi purpose waffle maker we had for years and did not cook the mix well/did not know when it was done, so each half stuck to each side and ripped apart when I opened (first picture).

The second waffle iron broke during the second use

I bought it to replace a really cheap waffle iron I bought after my previous iron became unusable because the non-stick cooking surface finally wore out.

Overall it's a great waffle iron, I just wish maybe the plates could be taken out to clean.

The waffle was still limp!I wanted to like this iron; it's sturdy, it's easy to clean, and I like other Cuisinart products, but the product doesn't live up to its promise.

The iron I received was dented on the sides of the top in two+ places, as if someone had tried and failed to remove the top griddle

but once I found the right setting the waffles come out perfect every time.

The first time the handle was broken and the screw was missing that kept the top connected to the bottom.

I place the dial slightly above 4 (out of 5) and it is perfect every time.

Don’t waste your time, and go to a physical store to get this item.

Cooks waffles crispy but takes a while for the ready light to come on and a bit of a wait for them to be ready

It has both a ready light and a beep to let one know when the waffles are ready

Love the "ready" light and chime letting you know the iron is at temperature and them again alerting you that the contents are cooked

My family was a bit sad because they aren't as fluffy as they would like the waffles to be and the top does not cook like the bottom top

Problem is the light-weight feel of the top unit, which also rattles around a little bit
