When it is turned off, either manually or by timer, the fan cools it down to a relatively warm temperature before the fan quits

The touch buttons respond well, the hotplate is easy to use, and I'm pleased that the sides, handles, and bottom side of the hotplate do not get hot even when it is cooking at the hottest temperature.
