Just the right brightness when i play bridge pickup with a little slap-back delay for rockabilly, nice warmth playing neck&bridge pickups for rythm and lead blues and rock
I like the warmth a deeper jazz tone of flat wounds
But i wanted a little more r&r tone from my Epiphone Casino, a little brighter

was a big mistake on my part because I never read the product description, but I think it would be good to correct the photo of the Extra-Super Light, since these are 008 and not 010 as it appears there
The D'Addario half-round jazz light strings sustain well, are available a a good price (considering that half-rounds generally are more expensive), and have a nice even tone.

Very easily rivals other more expensive strings at a cheap price.
But i wanted a little more r&r tone from my Epiphone Casino, a little brighter
Did not like the price, but liked the idea of the first string (12)and the guages of the others were a little less heavier than the daddario flats

Love these strings , wont buy anything else.fast ship, great price here.
With regular wound strings, if you need to press down with X number of pounds of pressure to fret a chord, you'll need maybe 1.5X or more pounds of pressure to be able to fret and slide the chord without generating audible string noise
Cuts out a lot of the string noise that round wound strings tend to have
much less tension than flatwounds and wiithout the string noise of roundwounds, though still not as bright as rounds
But with these half round strings, you can do the chord slide with maybe 1.1X to 1.2 pounds of pressure and not hear string noise (you'd tend to increase the pressure a little on slides to help maintain sustain during the slide)
But i wanted a little more r&r tone from my Epiphone Casino, a little brighter
