Put these "student" level nylons on the cheap guitar, and my son plays it all the time now

Maybe it's because I've heard other, far more expensive strings that sounded like crap even on nice guitars, but I think these are great for someone who doesn't pick very hard and likes a rather light tension.

Nylon is pretty stable once it stretches out a bit and they make a junky $15 guitar sound like a $20, um, junky guitar.
