  • Plenty of volume - turning the dial halfway up was more than enough to fill a medium sized room- Small size, easy to position pretty much anywhere- Solid build, large and fluid volume nob, power light isn't too bright .
  • The only downside is that there is no infrared capability for volume adjustment, but the until is well-built and sounds good nonetheless.
  • Item was in better packaging, came with higher quality accessories, and a solid build quality, and produces beautiful sound through my AJ's pioneer book shelve speakers.
  • I was impressed with the solid build and performance to date.

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • Of course the Infinity speakers with the powered subwoofers help because the amp only is feeding the mids and tweeters of the speakers and the onboard 150 watt sub amplifiers feed the woofers so the Dayton has an easy job to do.
  • It does an excellent job powering the devices and has exellent bass response
  • Does its job well, and easily drives it to very high volumes
  • Used the Dayton to amp up my computer audio, and it does a perfect job.
  • while it won't run them loud, it does a nice job hooked to my FLAC music library in the basement.

Reviews around design (5.00 of 5)

  • I like the mechanical design, with a mostly-aluminum case and a good-size volume-control knob
  • A standard headphone jack would've been a much better design
  • The amp is small, solid, well-designed, stays cool, and exceeds all of my expectations.

Reviews around control (5.00 of 5)

  • The case temperature only rises about 8° F above ambient when the amp is left idling, and the 7/8" diameter volume control knob feels better and allows finer control than some smaller plastic knobs found on audio interfaces
  • The slightly better construction probly tipped the scales and I chose to keep the Dayton, opting to have a noisier amp with better volume control
  • The only nice to have feature would have been a remote control but not necessary.

Reviews around amplifier (4.56 of 5)

  • Exceptional amplifier killer performance in a small package..
  • Gave away the original unit, and going to take a chance and buy another new one as a backup to my outstanding Emotiva mini-X a-100 amplifier
  • Exceptional amplifier killer performance in a small package..
  • Again, I believe this to be an outstanding little amplifier but Amazon appears to have a supply issue
  • but I still think it's a great deal for a powerful, quality little speaker amplifier!

Reviews around quality (4.21 of 5)

  • The sound quality isn't amazing but it worked for what I needed
  • I'm sad that the component quality is this bad
  • Sound quality was decent, and the materials used seemed solid
  • Item was in better packaging, came with higher quality accessories, and a solid build quality, and produces beautiful sound through my AJ's pioneer book shelve speakers.

Reviews around product (4.03 of 5)

  • Dayton and Parts Express really provide great products that are unique and affordable
  • Love the product, just wish I could have gotten a complete system from Amazon.
  • If the amp hadn't have failed on me, I would've given it 4 stars, as it was a good product, with some minor flaws
  • This product perfectly solved a problem that I looked long and hard to solve

Reviews around power (3.86 of 5)

  • Works very well, provides clean power to my Micca mb42x speakers
  • Cons: It has a very annoying blue power light -
  • It does an excellent job powering the devices and has exellent bass response
  • The oversize power brick may be a problem for some people, but not a concern for me, since it shrinks the footprint of the amp as it sits on my desk
  • so I wanted to get a decent, clear amplifier to power my JBL Studio 130 speakers in a 4x4m room

Reviews around speaker (3.61 of 5)

  • i have it hooked up to some quite nice 4 way speakers, and they sound very flat compared to the previous amps i've used them with.
  • Pair it with some good speakers, and you'll be glued to the spot in audio nirvana
  • Great at powering my speakers, but has channel imbalances at lower volumes
  • I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a $100 amp seldomly used to hold up longer than that, when other, less expensive computer speakers and amps I've had in the past have lasted a decade or more, with far more use
  • After a bit of use the the new speakers broke in and the system kept sound better and better

Reviews around channel (3.61 of 5)

  • One channel of front headphone did not work
  • The right channel is quieter than the left channel at all volume settings, and at low levels cuts out completely.
  • Unfortunately, the right channel has already started to go out after a little more than a month
  • I've been pleased with the sound quality and small size - up until 2 days ago, when the right channel abruptly cut out.
  • I'm not quite sure, but I think it MIGHT (read that again, MIGHT) have been the cause of the tweeter on my right channel speaker blowing out.

Reviews around unit (3.37 of 5)

  • though, it could use a few vent holes as the unit gets warm VERY quickly and it stays warm (same temperature) the entire time.
  • Nice little unit, but I needed more power to drive my destop computer speakers.
  • The unit runs a little hot and I would have liked to see built in Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Unit becomes mildly warm during prolonged use, but not hot at allCons:- Small audible hiss when no source playing, though imperceptible from more than a foot or so away.

Reviews around size (3.22 of 5)

  • While having a headphone output is nice, making it a size other than 3.5 mm makes the use needlessly cumbersome.
  • I like the mechanical design, with a mostly-aluminum case and a good-size volume-control knob
  • A solid value for the cash and the compact size is also very nice.
  • Nice size and solid enclosure dissipates heat well, gets warm but not hot.
