Reviews around deal (5.00 of 5)

  • The pickups sound naturally great, just works as it is supposed to
  • Seriously, for $150 it's an incredible deal and has far exceeded my expectations
  • As a brief overview, I would say it's a great deal of instrument for the money
  • But like i said, it's not a big deal cuz it works for what I wanted it for
  • I'm not sure how it would sound amplified, but as a straight-up acoustic, it's a great deal for the money.

Reviews around volume (5.00 of 5)

  • The volume is decent but the tone added a lot of typical acoustic hiss
  • I use it strictly for practicing, so I'm getting exactly what I need from it, which is good sound at a nice volume
  • The craft of its manufacture is high, the tone is clear and volume good, and the price is spectacular.
  • Well made, quality bass with pretty good acoustic tone and volume
  • It has the best sound volume unplugged, which is why I bought it

Reviews around quality (5.00 of 5)

  • Worth purchasing but just know, some of the components are not top quality.
  • For the price - The quality and sound of this bass is very good
  • The quality is excellent, the bass itself plays well - my only issue is while the action sits quite low and the instrument is very playable, the string noise with the roundwounds is annoying
  • I thank Dean guitars and Amazon for making this kind of affordable quality possible!
  • I wanted something dependable and reasonably high quality at a bargain price because I want to take out and about without being worried about it.

Reviews around way (5.00 of 5)

  • The pickups sound naturally great, just works as it is supposed to
  • As a professional musician looking to get back into playing bass guitar, this was a good way to get my feet wet.
  • It came out of the box set up exactly the way I like a bass to feel; the action is clearly high enough that fret rattle is avoided

Reviews around instrument (4.03 of 5)

  • It is a very good instrument for the money - good action, decent sound.
  • I've been playing guitar/bass for 16 years and own several expensive instruments and this well built, inexpensive gem has no problem keeping up.
  • I've been playing bass for over 32 years and I've had my share of super expensive and ridiculously cheap instruments in my time
  • My only complaint would be that the packaging it was shipped in was a bit flimsy and not sufficient to protect the instrument; there was a small crack on the back of the bass.
  • The instrument is absolutely beautiful and the sound quality is nothing short of angelic

Reviews around buzz (1.00 of 5)

  • After the buzz became so bad that the guitar was unplayable, I put the heaviest string on it that I could find and tuned it up a half step (trying to bend the neck back)
  • Then I had to tune the guitar, and even afterwards there was much buzz and rattle no matter how gently you struck the strings
  • Mine came with a little fret buzz on the A string, but a small adjustment of the truss rod fixed it right up (only 1/8th turn).
  • Unfortunately, from the very beginning, there was fret buzz
