: I forgot one thing about the game support for 3440X1440, COD11 is originally NOT support this resolution, instead, it will show up a wierd 21:7 ratio, just as usual sadly
The monitor was able to daisychain to my 4K monitor just fine and didn't distort resolution at all.
Cons:*The resolution is far inferior to 5k models...and seems to me to be less than many 4k displays I have seen, including the Thunderbolt.
Very good screen but not a lot of games/movies support this resolution
Best monitor I have ever used - great resolution - highly reliable and of course plenty of real estate..
The display is crisp and easy to read with great color.
and I can work without thoughts of insufficient resolution or wrong colors
It might not be ideal if you need super-accurate colors for photo editing or design work, but the benefit of such a large screen may outweigh the cons of inaccurate color
Amazing picture quality, great colors, everything you'd expect from a high-end Dell display
The colors are excellent, and the tool Dell includes for splitting up your screen real estate is surprisingly good.
I mainly settled on the dell over the LG for three reasons: price was cheaper then the LG, VESA compatible standard where the LG you have to call and get the bracket and better reviews
I wished it would have worked out as price was very good
But the monitor itself is excellent, and at $900 is an excellent price
Very satisfied with this display so far, and I got it for an amazing price on
The price is steep, I admit, but worthwhile in my opinion
The curve is gentle and makes just a subtle improvement in viewing angles
The curve in the screen is pronounced enough to notice, but no where near enough to distort anything - it adds a subtle wrap around that increases unconscious immersion.
The curve is a little strange at 1st but once you get used to it you don't notice it other than being disappointed when you use another monitor
A flat screen of this size and close proximity seems too big so the curve is a natural benefit
The screen is big, nice curve and easy to hook up, but I thought it was rather dim
The bad thing is I had no chance to try it before I purchased it (not available/display in any stores) so if you open the box and try it, you stuck with the item if you order from Amazon..
A really nice thing about the Dell is that it comes with a calibration report from the factory and comes out of the box in very good shape
I bought a 28" 4k monitor thinking it is the next best thing after a 1920x1080.
Compared to another ultra-wide monitor I had purchased previously for under $200, this thing struggles in the quality and durability department
I don't like the plug positioning or price, but in general this thing is the bomb.
My only gripe would be the included software which allows you to split the screen into different sections for productivity
Some reviews talked about the light bleed when on a dark screen
Studying and doing homework using the dell software that allows you to split the screen in to compartments is very useful in multitasking
Very good screen but not a lot of games/movies support this resolution
The monitor comes with software which allows you to split the screen into various configurations which are perfect for Photoshop or working with multiple programs
Great choice, I mostly program and do Adobe, so first off, the text was much crisper on the Dell, no thunderbolt issues, no weird blue tinted burn-in and IMO had better build quality
but overall a great monitor, if you can get over the backlight bleed, then you will like it, i mostly use this monitor for gaming, and the yellow tint is distracting, but web browsing and other tasks you wont notice it as much
The color uniformity is excellent, no visible color shifts and no strange panel tinting
Little bit of back light bleed in a dark room/black background but not a deal breaker
The screen is a matte screen, which I like as it's in a bright room and there are no reflections
The light bleed is not noticeable unless the room is completely dark and then, to me, it looks just like any other monitor with a bit of glow visible in the
The screen's anti-glare coating makes it a little easier on your eyes in a bright room (though for ultimate image quality, I usually prefer a glossier screen)
Just make sure you have enough room on your desk for it. :)You can easily fit multiple windows on the screen, so my need for 2 monitors is gone.
With a high end graphics card, this monitor would outdo most, except for the latest 4K capable ones
I also play flight simulators and 21:9 aspect is good for eye candy, but not for high g maneuvers where you would like more vertical resolution
n’t recommend it
The only issue I have with it is that it has pretty bad backlight on all four corners
I was frightened by the notices on Amazon for these sorts of monitors that suggested light bleed in the corners is a normal attribute because I had purchased a laptop in the past that had such bad backlight bleed that I had to return it.
If you don't have a video card with DP port, you may have to buy a converter that may cost you $50;The minimum version of DV port it supports is 1.2.You may got a bad DP cable which happened to me
I ended up purchasing a cheap DisplayPort cable that worked worlds better.
Happy with monitorTook the place of two 21" monitors, fewer cables to mess with
I do wish that the multiple ports on the back of the monitor were better positioned as they are facing down as opposed to facing out and can be a bit of a pain to get the cables inserted as opposed to ports that face the back.
The panel on the back that protects the cables is a bit hard to put into place, or open.
I've concluded the large surface area of the Philips monitor gives me some really bad headaches when staring at it all day with text against a white background.
It may cause "unexplained" headaches over extended periods of use if you ignore this
Most text is so blurry it's giving me terrible headaches.
