  • The included tamper is pretty much a joke, I bought a stainless steel one and it worked better
  • I ordered a BlueSnail Stainless Steel tamper for $12.50ish.
  • The included tamper is pretty much a joke, I bought a stainless steel one and it worked better
  • Oh yes, but the BlueSnail Stainless Steel coffee tamper.
  • What I like about this:- Mostly steel construction, as opposed to other makers that have a lot of plastic which scratches easily and doesn't wear as

Reviews around latte (4.68 of 5)

  • I feel the machine makes all froth and not a good drinkable latte.
  • It looks great on our counter and makes perfect espresso, lattes and cappuccinos every time
  • Makes great espresso, lattes and is fast and relatively quiet
  • When combined with an appropriate grind, I can get a consistently good latte out of this machine
  • on the positive side, looks good, makes good espresso and latte

Reviews around size (4.66 of 5)

  • but I liked the espresso, the steamer and the compact size
  • The machine is very attractive, a great size, and makes a good cup of espresso.
  • I love its size, its small footprint in my kitchen, its affordability.
  • One Size Does Not Fit AllFirst, the sizing of the cups is very deceiving
  • Size and function are great, no complaints.

Reviews around cup (4.32 of 5)

  • I’ve had this machine for a 1 1/2 YEARS now and it makes a great cup of espresso in no time at all
  • Makes a great cup of espresso and the frother is awesome!
  • Makes a better cup of espresso than anything else at this price but lacks significant power.
  • Vibrations cause cups to move• Can only fit single shot espresso cup; you'll need to dirty more cups if you want to make a cappuccino or latte• Filter snaps into place; use caution not to get your fingers pinched• Filter sometimes falls out while knocking the coffee grinds out• Portafilter, if rinsed and left to dry, will have water spots; need to hand dry
  • This machine works very well and makes a terrific cup of espresso.

  • Overall a Great quality product for the price - I've had it for two
  • This espresso machine does make great espresso, with crema if done properly and with use of a good quality espresso grind.
  • If you have a good grinder and good quality beans, this machine will do well pulling out the flavors
  • De’Longhi got really greedy and sacrificed quality to save a few cents — and loose this customer.

Reviews around cappuccino (3.99 of 5)

  • So, for good home brew cappuccino and espresso this unit does the job.
  • this machine could make a great cappuccino if it had a manual that actually explained how to use it.
  • I use super cheap-o pre-ground decaf coffee and it makes what I consider to be a very tasty cup.
  • So, after previously owning...like decades back...a very basic, impossible-to-use, cheap-o cappuccino maker, I hesitated purchasing another.
  • I am able to quickly get a great cup of espresso and steam milk for delicious cappuccino

Reviews around design (3.81 of 5)

  • The narrow design was great and it brewed well, but two years?!
  • Worked with DeLonghi customer support, who tried to be helpful, but the product is simply too badly designed/executed to be saved
  • I really hope it work out, I like the design And taste when it works well
  • Very poor design that I see many others have same problem with

  • I was really disappointed because this is a very nice looking machine.
  • So, after previously owning...like decades back...a very basic, impossible-to-use, cheap-o cappuccino maker, I hesitated purchasing another.
  • I love the look - and style - and it works great with the pods I use (double shot) and produces excellent espresso.

Reviews around water (3.74 of 5)

  • all parts are very easy to keep clean with a blast of hot water from the
  • I also don't like how for hot water it pulses out of the steam rod, but it is hot and consistent
  • The only issue I have is if you move it at all, the water reservoir leaks.
  • However, after about 7 months it began to leak water all over the place from every crevice.
  • You can pump hot water with the froth spout, if you want to make an Americana

  • I used this machine for a couple of weeks as it works well, steams the milk well, and pretty fast
  • The frothed milk isn't barista perfect, but very, very close
  • The only qualm i have with this product is the milk frother

  • Overall a Great quality product for the price - I've had it for two
  • I don’t recommend this product to anyone regardless of your budget

Reviews around plastic (2.54 of 5)

  • I've had this machine for some time now, and it still works as perfectly as it did when I first purchased it
  • And the porta-filter is aluminum lined with hard plastic, which to me looked very cheap.
  • When I got mine from Amazon, the first thing I did was to remove the weird inner plastic piece from the filter holder and plug the screw holder with a small bolt
  • I actually expect solid plastic that matches the gauge of the rest of the machine
  • I have read many reviews on amazon as well as on other social media, and finally decided to give this machine a try

  • From leaking to clogging and cannot possibly clean it anymore
  • I love my machine I've had it for 2 years now and still working just as great as when I got it.

Reviews around vibration (2.47 of 5)

  • It wasn't that the vibration was intolerable, I just happen to be intolerant of vibrations!Concerning reviews that stated the Delonghi company as difficult to deal with, I've had nothing but fair and timely experiences.
  • The motor in it sounds like something is wrong internal- loud vibration occurs when it attempts to brew but nothing comes out
  • The proper amount of grinds is important for your filter holder to smoothly fit in its space, as well as for your espresso shot/cappuccino to be tasty.
  • I've had this machine for some time now, and it still works as perfectly as it did when I first purchased it

Reviews around customer (1.85 of 5)

  • It is not worth the hassle or the bad customer service.
  • Bad customer service @ de longhi, expensive parts and ZERO quality
  • This was not the case with De Longhi - awful customer service, lack of effort, poor communication, lack of follow-through and altogether bad experience.
  • Their are so many great products to choose from but GREAT customer service is unusual
  • I spoke with friendly customer service representatives wholed me through 2 video chats where they recognized the issue with mymachine and requested I return it for repairs (at my cost)

Reviews around piece (1.49 of 5)

  • There are many videos on YouTube showing how creative people have spent hours in their shops modifying these pieces of the machine and have improved the design and performance
  • There is one missing piece of information and that is when you are steaming milk, the 'steam' button flashes..... this was not described and at first, I thought it was a failure of the machine, but apparently, once you push the 'steam button' and it flashes, then goes SOLID, now you are READY to steam milk (and after opening the valve first to release air,, then closing again), you are now ready to steam your milk.
  • Delonghi fixed the issue with the coffee holder falling out of the Kmix handle by using very taut pieces of wire
  • Super expensive piece of junk.
  • When I got mine from Amazon, the first thing I did was to remove the weird inner plastic piece from the filter holder and plug the screw holder with a small bolt
