De'Longhi KG89 Burr Coffee Grinder with Grind Selector and Quantity Control

    • Cheapest burr grinder I could find, but she's still cranking away.
    • Had this for not even year and a half and the burrs got too dull to work anymore
    • From the reviews, I'm not sure there IS a decent burr grinder out there other than manual
    • The difference in grind was also noticeable in the quality of the crema on the shots produced from each grinder (using same beans).Disappointed that I'll have to leap for a more expensive burr grinder for espresso, but I'll be keeping this DeLonghi on hand as it does produce a consistent coarse grind that's good for other brew methods.
    • At this cost level, this is a very good burr grinder
    • A funny thing happened while was cleaning this grinder, I discovered the top burr was loose
    • I replaced a very inexpensive burr grinder that was still going strong after 9 years with a much more expensive conical burr grinder
    • Even after several attempts at cleaning the burrs and re-seating the top burr it still gets nowhere close to fine enough
    • Grab my coffee bean container, open it, pick up and invert the coffee grinder pouring all the coffee beans (and some partially ground ones, back into the coffee bean jar, watch the burring grinding wheel fall out and into the coffee jar.
    • , I now need to buy a *better* burr
    • Good, solid burr grinder
    • If you're looking for a good burr grinder, consider the Baratza encore, even though it is about $75 more at the time of this review
    • If you've been looking for a cheap burr grinder, you have indeed found a cheap burr grinder
    • I replaced a very inexpensive burr grinder that was still going strong after 9 years with a much more expensive conical burr grinder
    • A funny thing happened while was cleaning this grinder, I discovered the top burr was loose
    • If you need a coarser more uniform grind, invest in a quality conical burr grinder like a Baratza Encore.
    • All in all, a great burr grinder, it's just really really messy.
    • The worst thing about it is that the top burr just keeps on popping out of it's place once the amount of coffee beans inside reduces
    • Would not shut off creating a screeching sound; "plunger" or top burr would not sit correctly so beans would jam and not flow into grind area; and as others note even on moderate grind of coarse beans in bin have high static and creates quite a mess when removed
    • Great (BURR!) grinder.
    • The burrs are quite solid for this price point and will definitely prove to be more than adequate for the casual or entry level coffee enthusiast
    • I've used better burr grinders and I don't like the static that builds up when the coffee is ground, it just makes an additional mess
    • I have two much better burr grinders for my home
    • Great Burr Grinder
