Love having sampler pads, hot cue pads, multiple effects per channel, and pitch bend all on the same controller, for only $400
Some of MC4000's advantages vs. S2 Mk2: #1) Build-quality: mostly metal body vs. a durable plastic body that has some "smudgy" surfaces; #2) Can access hot cue buttons 5-8 vs. not accessible; #3

Some of the S2 Mk2's advantages vs. MC4000: #1) Better (more intuitive) loop implementation using two (2) encoder/button knobs and regular buttons vs. regular buttons only; #2) Encoder/button gain and (shift-accessed) filter knobs that push-resets to null vs. basic encoder knob only
Separate, simple sampler section and slicer (alliteration, anyone?) function vs. more robust/complicated Traktor mix-deck implementation (personal preference); #11

They say big things come in small packages an denon has truly lived up to that, this item is a well built and is of Pro Grade Quality the sound to is of high standard that will please any professional thats looking for a compact portable and robust unit
The MC4000 is a pure 2-channel unit, while the DDJ-SB2 has some sort of a 4 channel control, though it’s very very limited without an actual 4 channel mixer
Unit just became defective out of nowhere
