The camera gimbals are really good at removing unwanted video jiggles and shakes; however, it's the gimbal that's the weakest part of the aircraft--hard touchdowns are known to result in the camera and gimbal popping off.

Previously owned a Phantom 3 Standard, the P3 Advanced is hands down a much better quad-copter, the range, quality and controller are fantastic

Great machine, easy to fly, I"ve had some issues, mainly programming, and now a tilted Gimbal, which needs calibration before every flight, started when I updated the firmware to 1.5.
If you cannot find this product prime eligible or shipping as fast as you would like from an approved seller it is WELL WORTH sucking it up and dealing with it, in order to retain your Warrenty!After the tutorials and firmware updating finally got it in the air and

The time laps are approximately 5 seconds (as fast as you can, I'm used to the GOPRO 0.5 seconds).The only down side is the inability to waypoints, follow me, point of interest things the IRIS + and "SOLO" 3DR.And a dreadful STANDARD launch which becomes an insult to those who invest in the ADVANCED HD camera and STANDARD with 2.7K.In short they made me feel I wasted my money

The price was great, but now I would rather have a Mavic Pro due to the portability and the additional features.
However, all these new features will come at a hefty price tag
Just got the PHANTOM 3 ADVANCED!It is far and away the best drone on the market.
The GPS and maps makes it so easy and stable to fly that it is almost impossible to lose your drone.
Just to have some fun I bought a cheaper simpler drone that worked perfectly the very first time
It's worth it to buy one of these, rather than a cheaper drone, because without the Phantom's redundant stabilization and positioning systems, cheaper drones seem to get lost or broken very quickly, a total waste of money and a menace to others.
The 2nd drone was also defective and I was unable to update the firmware in the camera and the camera was unresponsive
Also, it's pretty fast!I, also, recommend purchasing an additional battery or two for a full afternoon's worth of flying!

I like this drone, good for close video clips and pics haven't used it in a few months would like something with more range
Almost allo of the crashes are pilot error not equipment error.
They are telling me that the craft was damaged by "pilot error" when in fact it stopped working after THEIR software update
I made contact with DJI last week who review the repair order and advised me it was pilot error that caused the crash and extensive damage to my Phantom 3.
I asked "pilot error" please explain what I did wrong and basically I was told that pay more attention to the battery and return before it automatically returns.
