Excellent alarm in regards to sound and easily mounted however keep in mind that the area your mounting to must be flush to make the connection so not recommended for all doors.
Neither will appreciate the ear-splitting sound of these going off for hours on end.

Will definitely scare off an intruder and wake you up at the same time.
These are actually loud enough to wake someone up and startle an intruder.
Update 7/2018:This is a good door alarm, but imo, it's not loud enough to scare an intruder away.
