They have a good range on them reaching to the end of my property

I only use this outside of the home and the range is great

I turn the collar and controller off when not in use, so my battery life has been very good.

The battery life is a bit disappointing and you have to remember to turn the collar on pretty regularly.

And the vibration is so strong that if the beep doesn't work the vibration does.

I love the beep and vibrate feature as warnings before a shock, I haven't used the variable shock feature.

The beep sound is always there, but the vibration only works when it wants to and the shock button that I went to use for the first time last weekend (because the vibration was not working) did not work when my dog tried running off.

My problem is that the tone/vibration works fine (doesn't do anything for my dog though, he doesn't even seem to even recognize that anything is happening), the shock portion of it worked just fine when I tried it on my leg at first, but over a couple weeks the shock either worked or it didn't work at all, even on my leg.

We have not needed to shock our dog more than a few times at the beginning

Both times, the shock feature works for a couple of days and then stops

This has resulted in a lot of unnecessary and unwanted barking

The vibration and beep modes get our dog's attention and allow us to correct bad behavior such as barking and jumping up

We use it to curb “negative” behavior she displays, like jumping on our fence to go after critters, running around like a spaz and knocking things over, excessive barking, etc

I used this collar maybe 2 days and it corrected his barking

Hoping this would eliminate any excessive digging or barking.

I have only ever had to use the beep and vibrate mode for training purposes

I like also the lock mode so as not to accidentally scare or hurt my dog.

For almost all occasions the noise alert has been good enough to get his attention and/or a the vibrate mode is strong enough for him

Static mode is very adjustable so that I can get my dogs attention without having to hurt her.

I used the shock mode one time and since then have only used the vibrate and sound modes.
