Some background on the purchase:Let me first start by saying I have always hated the idea of a "shock collar" and was led to believe that positive reinforcement training was one of the only ways to "humanely" train a dog, however, there have been multiple scenarios when my cocker spaniel has quite literally done everything short of laugh in my face when I ask for a trained behavior

We keep ours on the lowest recommended setting, and after a couple shocks to enforce behavior all that is needed now is the beep function, and of course we started out with progressive training
