I'm still checking long-term use, but so far, it's easy to use & has done a nice job quieting down a noisy Boss DS-1

When it works it does a great job, but in my experience that is sporadic.

If you want a "better" suppressor/noise gate then you will have to pay a bit more for one of those fancier one's, but for less than 40 dollars, it does a pretty good job, just not so well with the distortion

Not only does this thing do a very intelligent job of chopping out the noise in high gain situations, but it also is smart enough to clean up cheap amp noise/bad power supply noise as well

If you want something that is easy to set, does a good job, takes up very little space on your board, the Donner is a great option.

Drive your favorite overdrive / distortion / eq into it, turn those bad boys up, and this will do a decent job of letting the good stuff through
