Donner Noise Killer noise gate Guitar pedal

    • Kind of weak sounding though
    • If placed right after your gain or distortion pedal, you can get some cool cut off sounds with your delay or mod effects.
    • Cool sounding delay
    • It sharpened up my distortion pedals to the point where my crappy Crate amp sounds nearly studio quality.
    • Cool sounding delay
    • Past about 10 o-clock on the black nob, this pedal kills all sound.
    • It started just cutting all sound and then progressed to a boost pedal - which wasn't all that bad to be honest
    • However, In the loop it reduces enough noise so that when I'm on the red channel and I turn off the guitar volume you can't hear the waterfall hiss sound in the background
    • I'd give this five stars if it eliminated all sound, but for the price, I cannot complain
    • Not really a knock on this unit, but I need one with an attack/decay control or something because I couldn't get it to sound natural when silencing my high gain sounds
    • I also fully disagree with the contention of other buyers that this pedal is 100% silent and doesn't affect or suck tone/sound
    • Bottom line, it's not as good as other gates I've used in the effects loop, but if you're looking for a sharp gate at the beginning of your chain that lets sustain through and never needs to be turned off even when switching to clean sounds, this is your unit.
    • Will kill the sound before that position.
    • I know a 240 pedal will be better, but i would not worry if you think this is going to ruin your sound and not effective.
    • My only complaint is that the higher you set the gate, the faster and more abruptly the (guitar) sound gets cut-off.
    • It killed my whole sound
    • and I have to say I am very surprised, great quality construction and sound in a super small format
