Table top was damaged
As for the table, attach the "shy of snug" frame to the table top and then tighten up the frame prior to turning the table upright
I do wish the table top was at least 1/4” thicker

It is fine if all you’re going for is looks because the table looks exactly like it does in the photos which is great
