I really wanted to like this program and gave it a fair chance despite the frustrations such as having to completely uninstall and reinstall it after a Windows update

It would be really nice if there was adequate service to talk to and if the program wasn’t completely frustrating to use most of the time.

Bottom line, it's a great program.

Excellent program, greatly improved since it first came out.

So, for a program like Dragon to be useful to me, I have to be able to dictate and not have all these issues with the wrong thing written down, and then a really difficult time correcting it

As near as I can tell, the program worked optimally with older versions of Windows, but despite the lies on Nuance's website, Dragon 13 is completely nonfunctional on Windows 10, so buyer beware.

Is this the program's fault?

Over 11 years ago tried a program like this for medical dictation and it didn't work at all

The program fails to recognize the current position of the cursor and starts inserting new text at some random location.

That said, Dragon does improve as it goes, they say, and it can learn from your other written material, including documents and email

The only way it works as of right now is if I keep hitting the Dragon icon that turns the microphone on and off.
