Reviews around style (5.00 of 5)

  • Amazing game, with lots and lots of content and beautiful arts style
  • The way he delivers the lines, as well as the style in which he phrases the story's events definitely lends a MAJOR table top RPG vibe to the game, as if he's the
  • It's an 2d game with amazing art style and storytelling
  • Good micro management, fun co-op and a nice art style ;)
  • The graphics are really nice, sharp and unique style of art, the voice and soundtrack fit the background of the game, good story

Reviews around design (5.00 of 5)

  • The PS3 version is best if you want to be able to enjoy the art design to its fullest detail, and it's better for multiplayer to have a bigger screen
  • There are so many thoughtful design choices that went into the online multiplayer in this game, and it works very smoothly, for the most part
  • George Kamitani and the rest of VW's past works are filled to the brim with the kind of brilliant art design and execution that leaves your imagination afire and your heart captivated
  • Gameplay is solid and fun, sound design is great, story is...there (haven't gotten far enough to make an informed opinion)
  • If you're a fan of classical, epic high fantasy, artistic games that leave you stunned by their design, action games that have intelligent RPG designs, or just addictive beat-em-ups to play alone or with friends, then Dragon's Crown is the game for you

Reviews around pace (5.00 of 5)

  • It helps keep the game at a steady pace, and does NOT get in the way!I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a game to remove some of the dust off their vita!
  • New skills/abilities/passive traits open up at an excellent pace as you level up, so you always feel like your character is getting new, fresh moves to play with
  • Although the game has a lot of fast-paced action in the heat of battle, sometimes it's nice, when you aren't laying waste to a horde of undead, to appreciate the detail that was paid to each of the game's many backdrops.
  • The story is interesting to follow, and the quests make it so you have a reason to go back to spots and not just play through the levels as fast as you can
  • The Good: Gorgeous visuals, fun and fast paced combat, plenty of loot and levels to acquireThe Bad: Almost no main quest line or story, very short in length, very few levels, best experience is only with other peopleVanillaware is known for one of the hardest JRPGs on the PS2, Odin Sphere, and I was very excited upon hearing the spiritual successor to that game

Reviews around rpg (4.40 of 5)

  • Separating itself from the much older Golden Axe, your characters level in this game, they develop skills just like in any modern RPG, they acquire loot, and the techniques with which you combat the enemies continue to evolve as you become more experienced with how to play
  • Being reminded of my table top RPG days was powerfully nostalgic for me, and it really made me love the story in this game
  • So you will know where I come from, I mostly only play RPG's (Elder Scrolls/Fate/Dungeon Siege/Castlevania DS/Dungeon Quest DS) and some old FPS (Far Cry/Serious Sam/Quake/Delta Force).I enjoyed Ys
  • DC is a solid action RPG with a lot of depth in terms of customization
  • If you're a fan of classical, epic high fantasy, artistic games that leave you stunned by their design, action games that have intelligent RPG designs, or just addictive beat-em-ups to play alone or with friends, then Dragon's Crown is the game for you

  • This game is one of the most beautiful and fun games that I have ever played on the VITA or any system
  • This game have amazing music, fun and addictive gameplay, visuals (played on Vita) are stunning
  • The graphics are gorgeous vibrant colors that only first gen Ps Vita bring out and great game play

Reviews around crown (4.30 of 5)

  • Those who grew up enjoying the likes of Golden Axe, Battle Toads and Streets of Rage will likely enjoy Dragon's Crown
  • I knew I was going to enjoy Dragon's Crown, but I've been genuinely surprised
  • Overall, Dragon's Crown is good enough to purchase PS Vita just to play it.
  • Your job is to return this crown to your kingdom and kill the dragon
  • I loved Guardian Heroes and Code of Princess, so Dragon's Crown was definitely in my wheelhouse

Reviews around gameplay (4.21 of 5)

  • story is straight foward and more towards great gameplay
  • It has solid gameplay and outstanding visuals that were well worth the wait for the game.
  • The gameplay is a lot more hectic than Muramasa Rebirth since three other characters are blasting around enemies but I still have time to screen shot some of the action.
  • The story is interesting to follow, and the quests make it so you have a reason to go back to spots and not just play through the levels as fast as you can
  • But the gameplay itself is very repetitive

Reviews around story (4.10 of 5)

  • I'll admit that the story's a bit weak, it's not a bad story, but it's obvious that this game was not meant to be very focused on story and instead had much attention placed on gameplay
  • The graphics are really nice, sharp and unique style of art, the voice and soundtrack fit the background of the game, good story
  • There is a story behind the game and it isn't an amazing story but the fighting and action easily make up for it
  • But the super short length makes it impossible for a better story
  • It captures the nostalgia of the classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups while adding enough complexity and story to make it a full-fledged RPG dungeon crawler, not just an arcade experience

  • The game has beautiful art and animation, but these qualities are wasted in a game that cannot be played, due to the controls
  • The art itself is stunning with beautiful water-color backdrops and crazy looking enemies and bosses
  • The game has beautiful art and animation, but these qualities are wasted in a game that cannot be played, due to the controls

  • The story is interesting to follow, and the quests make it so you have a reason to go back to spots and not just play through the levels as fast as you can
  • I started out with the Elf, and I must admit that she's my favorite character to play as
  • The characters are outrageous and it's beyond fun if you have friends to play with too
  • the game also has character endings which are well done,no cut n paste abominations
  • The artwork is incredible and the characters are likable.
