The bell is too quiet for my tastes, but projects fine when played with the shank of the stick.

Regarding the 20" Bliss crash-ride, it's an interesting approach by a Chinese cymbal maker to try to capture the spirit of old K. Zildjian cymbals and Turkish cymbals in general.
