Dunlop Tortex Standard .50mm Red Guitar Pick - 12 Pack

    • They are just grippable enough to hang on to well, but not so much that they produce any scratchiness when using them with a good set of strings (although I've heard the two heaviest gauges do produce a scratchy sound for some people - I personally switch back and forth between the 60mm and 88mm sizes, depending on what I'm playing)

    • they definitely outlast the celluloid picks without becoming harsh sounding
    • These picks are great, the sound is bright with a nice punch of mediums
    • Perhaps a bit brighter sounding compared to same thickness Nylon picks, everything else remaining the same
    • a .73mm but well worth the sound I'm getting.
    • Too soft and "round" sounding and feeling.
    • but like I said it's great for maneuverability and a softer sound.
    • They are stiff enough to give you complete control of your picking, they are flexible to have a good strumming sound.
    • Love the feel and the sound as well as the attack!
    • Thin for great sound, orange fun color and perfect for those who love turtles!
    • I prefer the lighter sound of the Acoustic but these work very well with my friends Electric, Fender.
    • I like a much stiffer pick with a sharp tip, and a much brighter sound.
    • You can get a very rich sound with these picks
    • Nice feel in the hand, good sound
    • These picks make a great sound on the guitar, but i find them trying to move around sideways
    • For lead these sound dull
    • I can't stress enough how much more amazing my guitar sounds when I play.
    • Makes my guitar playing sound smooth
    • Chords are bright, full, crisp - and most importantly - that annoying reverb sound is gone.
    • These are my personal favorite, better grip and durability than celluloid, great sound too.
    • They're easy to hold, they're durable, and this particular size allows you to strum without feeling like you're going to break the pick or the strings if you strum hard, yet thick enough to produce a good strong sound
    • I like the Jazz III better, but I think the Tortex has a better sound
    • These picks have a dusty, like, grease-free coating that makes them easy to grip, and they are good and thick which is great for really digging in if you're a melodic or lead guitarist; in other words, they don't make a pleasant strum sound but allow for much more dynamics control on single notes
    • They create a tone slightly sharper than playing with your fingers but enhance the sound (loudness) greatly
    • I like a much stiffer pick with a sharp tip, and a much brighter sound.
    • Old ones used to be more flexible, had more texture, and wore faster which actually helped the sound be warmer
    • Its a stupid floppy pick w/ a loud flipping sound
    • They make picking the thick strings of the bass easier than the lighter picks and they have a nice weight for a good strong sound for the electric guitar
    • I much prefer a brighter, more chimey sound
    • You have less of a chance hitting strings you don't want to hit and you achieve a more solid sound
    • The grip on them is superb and the sound is great
    • It makes the guitar sound loud and harsh
    • Good grip, great sound, been using them for over 10 years
    • I started playing with them and found that it was a much smoother sound due to the thickness of the pick as it was not slamming the strings as hard and had a bit more give
    • This pick is stiff and produces a crisp sound maybe to one liking if control and a stiffer pick is more to your liking.
    • These sound good on EMG-81/85s as well as Seymour Duncan
    • I love the sound they make when you strum hard on the guitar
    • Great sound, grip and size
    • I love the percussive sound of of these picks
    • I like the sound these picks give
    • The pick is basically indestructible and after a couple minuets of breaking in they have the best sound you can get.
    • They stil play great, sound great against steel strings, and last a long time.
    • The 1.0mm Tortex give just the right sound on the attack, don't feel too flimsy in my fingers (I keep a tight grip) and the grip on them is far superior to any on the market (gator grips feel too porous for me.)
    • They give a great sound and have a great feel, go gettim.
    • Works good puts good sound on strings didn't break.
    • Works good puts good sound on strings didn't break.
    • good quality - dont break hold good sound and are easy to keep up with because of the color
    • Great string action, very articulate, and big sound
    • Have a nice sound on the strings.
    • They give a nice, bright sound for playing rhythm through a PA or amplifier, which keeps the guitar from getting "stuck in the mud" sonically.
    • bend to easily make an odd sound
    • this pick is great though for a nice, crisp, vibrant sound
    • I'll say though that the sound they generate is very crisp and bright
    • If you are an acoustic guitarist and want that perfect strumming sound, definitely get the .5mm
    • You will only get this awesome sound for a few minutes
    • I really like the .73mm, but these have a solid sound
    • They give a great sound.
