Reviews around product (5.00 of 5)

  • It is a great product, looks very nice on my counter top and easy to use.
  • This product has only reaffirmed the notion of " you get what you pay for " and has further turned me onto the NuWave.
  • I'm convinced you could pay more, but you won't necessarily get a better product than this.
  • The product works as advertised and I’m very happy with my purchase
  • Overall, this is a very good product, at very reasonable price.

Reviews around plate (5.00 of 5)

  • The hot plate has cooling fans that run until the unit reaches a temp that can be touched
  • Remove the cooking utensil from the hot plate after cooking.
  • A tip when using this hot plate especially if using cast iron.
  • A way around this is to use an induction hot plate that can get really high temps and a hardy cast iron skillet
  • Was looking for an induction hot plate to use on my balcony

  • I love the size of the actual plate and the touch screen controls
  • Great cooktop and much more accurate control than our electric range
  • Easy to use; controls are clear and self explanatory

Reviews around surface (5.00 of 5)

  • Top is totally flat surface so some cleaner/degreaser and a few wips and this guy is ready to go back into the box.
  • She loves the temperature control feature, quick cool-down fan, and easy clean surface
  • The shiny black surface is easy to clean (though hard to polish to smear-free, if that's your thing).
  • Cons : I can use only small pots because the usable surface is not that big

Reviews around steel (5.00 of 5)

  • Had I realized when I bought this thing that it doesn't work with cooking vessels that are stainless steel, copper, or aluminum, I wouldn't have bought it at all.
  • Using two different thermometers, when set to 220 degrees (f) in temperature mode with a stainless steel pot and 1 cup of water...the water never boils but instead sits at 165 degrees
  • I saw several other reviews that complained because it didn't work with their pans....so, please keep in mind that you do have to use flat bottom, stainless steel pans for the induction burner to operate
  • However, it does NOT take 18/10 stainless steel cookware

  • This stove heats up fast, easy to clean-up and use.

Reviews around heat (4.49 of 5)

  • As you may see in reviews of other products, some hotplates turn themselves off due to excessive heat.
  • Remember, the cook top is not creating heat; the pan is
  • The wattage allows heat up to 460 degrees which surpassed my previous induction burner.
  • Even using a cast iron pan for better heat dispersal, the center of the pan was considerably hotter than the edges (see photo).
  • Love the speed and heat of this unit, but it puts out a very high pitched squeal when cooking that makes nails on a chalkboard sound like a symphony.

Reviews around cooktop (4.10 of 5)

  • Pros:-Easy to use-Easy to clean-Affordable-Light and portableCons:-N/AConclusion: This is an excellent induction cooktop that my family uses specifically for hotpot
  • I'll be looking for a replacement soon, horrible cooktop.
  • It works just as well as our Kitchenaid induction cooktop.

Reviews around induction (3.70 of 5)

  • A way around this is to use an induction hot plate that can get really high temps and a hardy cast iron skillet
  • Was looking for an induction hot plate to use on my balcony
  • It works just as well as our Kitchenaid induction cooktop.
  • Be aware that you need to use induction only pans like cast iron or steel bottom pans.
  • so I’d advise using smaller induction-ready pots and pans

Reviews around water (1.29 of 5)

  • Went to boil water for coffee just about a month after buying the product, plugged it in and heard the "beep", but none of the buttons were responsive
  • It boiled water in about the same time as a 30 year old coil burner range
  • It boils water faster than anything in the kitchen, and yes, I think it is much faster than gas.
  • Using two different thermometers, when set to 220 degrees (f) in temperature mode with a stainless steel pot and 1 cup of water...the water never boils but instead sits at 165 degrees

  • In addition to this awful sound, it will stop heating in the middle of cooking
  • The sound has only gotten worse and happens every time it's used
  • Extremely loud high pitched sound makes my sinus cavities hurt
  • It makes awful sounds, like it is struggling for dear life and will die at any given moment
