    • Great songs.
    • Frey's singing in "Peaceful Easy Feelin'" is simply beautiful, and Henley's soft-bluesy "Desperado" is just a wonderful performance of a great song.
    • I think anyone who loves the song knows how good this music is
    • All I got to say is "Eagles", Every one loves the songs from this group young and old.
    • The best of the best -- great songs all on one album

    • The songs are great, but neither disc has held up; can't get thru either disc.
    • I would have preferred songs such as "Life's Been Good" or "Dirty Laundry" (Don Healy) in place of either "James Dean" or "Doolin-Dalton
    • The Eagles have so many great songs.
    • I bought this CD just for one of the songs--Desperado--whose melody haunts me to this day.
    • These tremendously great songs by The Eagles highlight their talent as exceptional and creative artists
    • A few notable tracks that don't exactly fall into either category - "James Dean," for example - and a nice new song, "Hole in the World," are also present
    • Those bands can only attempt crappy cover songs of what this band has established years ago.
    • Every favorite song included
    • The digital remastering has made these songs sound like brand new all over again
    • Moreover, the remastered sound means that these classic songs have never sounded better

    • Well, all things are possible to those who wait, and our wait has been rewarded with a richly textured and memorable effort that covers many of their best previous songs as well as several new ones
    • Their songs are classic.
    • This was purchased to fill in the missing Eagles songs in my library.
    • Another mistake was omitting so many of their best songs in order to make room for Henley's stuff.
    • In A Row" was left out as well as numerous songs that were not big "hits".

    • so many songs all so good .
    • In The World is another Eagles gem, although a very sad song, it is sure to be one of their big hits.

    • they are always good no matter what they sing this is just a great bad and the songs are great
    • However a mediocre song like "Midnight Flyer" does not belong
    • After having followed them since 69, this compilation includes most of the significant songs in the history of the eagles.
    • I would almost go for a more separated version(s), one with ballads and the other disc with the more up tempo rockers perhaps?Anyway, so many great songs in one place is good to have for this classic band whatever type
    • This is a compilation of 33 of The Eagles best songs.
    • Hole in the World", their newest song (and Don Henleys take on 9/11) lacks the soul and heart that their older hits had
    • In the Fast Lane is a great rock song
    • Loving some new songs I hadn't heard before.
    • It is nice to see songs like "In The City", and "James Dean" finally on an official greatest hits set

    • Beyond the nostalgia, these are simply wonderful songs...skillfully written and nearly flawlessly executed, especially vocally
    • The songs are the best of the best.
    • And the song itself sounds like a Motown number
    • I agree with other reviewers about how the music companies keep packaging and re-packaging hits collections of the great (and some not so great) artists, always missing 2-3 songs that You
    • Certainly there are few better rock songs that "Hotel California" and "Take It Easy."
    • Has all the very best songs from the Eagles old and new.
    • Although its well-known songs are ballads, strong rockers like "Out of Control" and the bluegrass of "Twenty One" give the album balance
    • Love those songs.
    • Many agree that the Eagles were at their strongest when their music had this sound to it, and that is another debate in itself (seeing that "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" is one of the top selling albums of all time, only second to "Thriller" worldwide), but these are some of the all time greatest songs in rock history
    • The first CD definetly contains most of their major hits, and in my opinion best songs
    • Easy to the sad soulfull song of Hole in the World
    • Thanks to digital remastering, all the songs sound great
    • Ol 55" i would rank as not so good songs really

    • but there's enough of timeless, classic songs to hold one's
    • Good quality sound and selection of songs (nice memories).
    • A holiday novelty, "Please Come Home for Christmas", is inexplicably thrown in a few songs later, upsetting the segue from "New Kid in Town" to "Heartache Tonight".
    • The songs and music are legendary
    • All my favorite songs
    • They tried NOTHING new, instead putting out one whiny, self-important country-folk song after another
    • The first disc is fired off with "Take It Easy", the Jackson Browne-penned tune which catapulted The Eagles to superstardom right out of the gates, and which remains one of their most beloved songs.
    • I have owned this CD album before and have enjoyed the excellent songs on this collection from Eagles
    • The lyrics are actually meaningful unlike the "I love you baby" lyrics of modern songs.
    • All the great songs are on it
    • Inf act, as the two disc "Very Best Of The Eagles" proves, their old songs have never gone out of style (even with William Hung's cover of "Hotel California")
