    Eagles: The Very Best Of

    • Couldn't ask for better timing!!
    • The rest of the "Hotel California" singles start off the second CD with "Life in the Fast Lane" and "Wasted Time".
    • Wasted time, The last resort). The Eagles studio albums were only five in total, and they have probably had more compilations than most, but what makes the latest compilation so special is its excellent digital remastering, and impressive 2-disc tracklist.
    • I really love Wasted Time, The Last Resort & The Sad Cafe
    • The music of the Eagles takes me back to some of the best times of my youth
    • I enjoy having songs "Wasted Time" and "The Last Resort" from the Hotel California album on there.
    • A lot of hits, but nothing compared to...3) "Hotel California" and The "Long Run," which subtracted Leadon (and eventually Meisner) for Joe Walsh (and eventually Timothy B. Schmit), had a ton more hits, a little more soft rock ("New Kid in Town"), a genuine anthem ("Hotel California"), a couple of burnout anthems ("Life in the Fast Lane," "Those Shoes"), a song they've convinced themselves sounds like Thom Bell's productions for The Spinners ("Wasted Time"), a semi-yahoo song ("Heartache Tonight"), and one they wrote with/for Timothy B. Schmit, the second bassist
    • Great tunes from HC include the title track,NKIT,the hard-driving LIFE IN THE FAST LANE and VICTIM OF LOVE and the easy listening WASTED TIME
    • Was a great time for music
    • While I was In the City I realized that After the Thrill is Gone, all you wind up with is Wasted Time
    • This is truly the very best by an all-time classic band.
    • to wonderful times in my life.
    • Then comes the pretty "Wasted Time", the punk rocker "Victim Of Love", and Don Henley's haunting American - Indian opus "The Last Resort"
    • The bonuses come from what's added here: their classic cover of Christmas song "Please Come Home for Christmas", rockabilly tribute "James Dean", HOTEL CALIFORNIA standout tracks "Wasted Time" and "The Last Resort", and latter day
    • The second phase of the band's career kicks off on disc two with Life in the Fast Lane, Wasted Time, Victim of Love, New Kid in Town and The Last Resort
    • Also each disc in the box set only includes 12 - 15 tracks: so while the 2-disc "Very Best Of..." set has 33 tracks, the 4-disc - and considerably more expensive - box set only has 40 studio tracks, some of which, such as "Wasted Time Reprise", "One of These Night Intro", "Long Run Leftovers", "Random Victims Part III", "Born to Boogie", and "King of Hollywood", are hardly essential.
    • My all-time favorite for sure
    • And They are put together in correct time
    • A lot of hits, but nothing compared to...3) "Hotel California" and The "Long Run," which subtracted Leadon (and eventually Meisner) for Joe Walsh (and eventually Timothy B. • Brings me back to happy times!
    • They belong to a more comfortable time, where dropouts were quietly dropping back in, social awareness was becoming a fashion statement and hippies were about to morph into yuppies.
    • , I have watched it several times, and I love the CD, and wish it was a DVD.
    • Then there are some more album tracks Wasted Time, The Last Resort (one of my all time favorite tracks), Those Shoes and In the City
    • I really love Wasted Time, The Last Resort & The Sad Cafe
    • If you think "One of These Nights," "Wasted Time" (from the "Hotel California" LP) and "I Can't Tell You Why" sound particularly soulful, we learn from both Glenn and Don that their love of Philly soul (and Memphis's Al Green too) was behind all three.- That the twisted and surreal lyrics to "Hotel California" were inspired by the original "The Twilight Zone" TV series, the films "The Last Tycoon" and "The Magus," Federico Fellini and
    • Hotel California is a monster of a song, other super songs are Wasted Time and The Last Resort
    • I have been a long time appreciative follower of both bands music, and still believe they are the two most prolific music making bands of all time, the two C.D's represent the best of both.
    • I also have a hard time recognizing some of the songs as "hits," but it is good to hear them again.
    • One of These Nights" still makes me smile, & "Wasted Time" still gives me chills when I listen to it, even after all these years
    • As someone who grew up with music in the late 80,s I missed out the first time around
    • I am an Eagles freak and it is in the car, jamming with me all the time!
    • I love this one, it takes me back to all the good times I had in the 70"s
    • Life in the Fast Lane", "Victim of Love", "Wasted Time", "Desperado" "Lyin' Eyes".These are unforgettable songs
    • They broke new ground many times with various albums and songs
    • Wasted Time- 10/103
    • From "Take It Easy" to "James Dean", "Wasted Time" to "Please Come Home For Christmas"(One of their best).
    • Listen also for the second CD to give us gems like "Life In The Fast Lane" with that fantastic music; the ballad "Wasted Time" with that beautiful arrangement for the piano; "Victim of Love" with that heavy but excellent beat; "New Kid in Town" which was another big hit for The Eagles when it was initially released; the very emotional and poignant "Please Come Home for Christmas" with that incredible backup chorus harmonizing to perfection and beyond; the very famous "Heartache Tonight;" "I Can't Tell
    • On the bright side, this includes most of what you'd want from 1974 on, along with some overlong dead weight like "Wasted Time", "Last Resort", and "Sad Cafe"
    • I love the message this song conveys: enjoy your time at the top, because gonna come and knock you right off
    • the right music at the right time
    • Just as sweet as the 1st time around!!!!!
    • Amazing I always love to listen to signature song of
    • I all ready had all these songs, I just wanted them on one cd
