The sound quality is a substantial upgrade over the 2nd Gen. Like other reviewers I initially thought the sound was too full and too deep, but after getting used to it while still listening to 2nd Gen I much prefer the 3rd Gen.

The downside is a poorly designed power plug which makes me wonder what Amazon engineers were thinking.

We added a smart plug for the lamp and she works fine with it
