This was easy to install, everything comes with the unit that you will need(besides tools).I've only been using this for 3 days now, but so far the app and unit itself are pretty user friendly

The ecobee app is decent but there is room for improvement (2.3 stars) and the ipad/iphone versions support different feature sets

Add this to remote temperature and motion sensors, Home Kit enabled, SmartThings enabled and an excellent phone app and you easily have the best thermostat on the market for home automation and comfort

I plan on procuring @ least one more (to give me sensors at each level).The app is fun to use and display to friends that I can turn on my A/C without getting up from my couch

Since getting it set up I have familiarized myself with the website as well as the iOS app.

However the sound quality is tinny - nowhere as good as from a Dot, and it seems to start by itself some times

Setting them do as much good as pushing the "close door" button in an elevator, and I'm convinced they are added to give the illusion of the feature actually working and using them

However, I must say the Alexa feature does not work quite as well as with my Echo Dot

When I need humidity in my house, my thermostat will turn on the furnace fan and the humidifier to add humidity without heat... as well as with heat, if needed

Functionally its great as it’s basically exactly the same as the ecobee 3 but the Alexa portion has horribly implemented
